Tullipan Review
Tullipan was the only company we found online that had split level plans to suit our sloping block and retain our views both front and back. The tri level plan suited our block perfectly and the middle level (kitchen, dining and family room) captures our back view. We were very happy with the decision to add the alfresco to the original plan as it blends perfectly with the rest of the house.

The timeliness of the build is the greatest benefit of going with Tullipan homes, with the house completed well ahead of contractual completion date, allowing us to move in before Christmas. After being let down significantly by another builder, it was great to move over to Tullipan and get a builder that was so much more flexible. The key thing for us was to be able to chose from the full range of tiles, bricks, bathrooms, kitchens, rather than being locked in to one of 1 - 3 choices, which is how most other builders work.

This was our first home and went into the process very cautiously as we heard so many horror stories from others about their experiences building a home. We have recently taken possession of our new home which is our third custom built home and the first with Tullipan Homes. The experience with Tullipan Homes has been by far the most enjoyable and hassle free.
The construction was completed ahead of the scheduled time frame even allowing for 3 weeks over Christmas.

The whole experience from the initial consultation to receiving the keys at hand over was superb.

A family run business whereby Mark, Rodney and associates would go above and beyond to answer any questions and provide ongoing support throughout the entire build. I never felt uneasy about what was happening as Tullipan were only a phone call away and always happy to oblige.

We couldn't be more happy with the build. We went back and forth between builders when deciding who to build with and we initially went with the so-called "sloping site specialist" with all the "builder of the year" awards. We inevitably found the other builder unethical and dishonest. After signing the commencement fee with the "other" builder we pulled out and lost a bit of money - but it was well worth it. Have just completed handover of our Tullipan Home. Very nervous about taking on a Knock down rebuild as we had never done anything like this before. Our custom designed home was completed on budget and 3 months ahead of schedule. The whole Tullipan team were incredibly professional during every step of the process. Site supervisor Jacob Tullipan was super productive, each week you could see progress. All the tradesmen raved about working for this company and their reputation amongst the people who know is excellent. Let me start with the good points:

The builders were open to customisation of the floorplans. They were great supporting adjustments, moving rooms, changing the design. The finished home was of reasonably good quality. There were a few things where a bit more attention to detail would have been good, but generally everything was built as per the plan and finished well. Our experience in contracting with Tullipan Homes on our first (and probably only) new build home has been an entirely pleasurable one. The consultative professionalism was obvious right from the early planning stages of our custom house design with Jamie, Mark and Shona and the rest of the team helping to minimise what could have been a stressful process.
