Great service.
George was fantastic and spent all the time we needed, showing us the car and its features. No question was a problem. Even included coffee!!!! Great service. We are very happy.

Avoid like the plague
Had my Golf booked in for a service and asked the service man to check the sunroof for water ingression just to be told $200 "to look at it." Three months later driving under torrential rain on the busy Brisbane M1, the so called "Golf" lost power and came to a complete stop. Towed to a service center, another shocking news, timing belt snapped damaging pistons, valves, rings and the lot. Three days later it's my fault and I have to pay $5,450 to have it fixed. Avoid like the plague.

Great service
This is my second review, first one being the purchase of the car.
This relates to an issue with the car keys. Jaclyn from Service department and Steven whom I purchased the car from has been flexible allowing me to drop off and pick up the car on a Saturday and for fixing up the issue quickly and at no cost from me. So thank you for being genuine and helpful.

Absolutely appalling customer service
I contacted Doncaster VW just to try and book in a 60,000 Klm service.
You'd think this would quite simple and relatively straightforward - well NO I called them on 6 seperate occasions.
Finally gave up and booked the car in elsewhere.
In short, they have a terrible customer service culture - particulary at this dealership.

VW Touareg Failure
Let’s just start off by saying that VW’s 2.2 star average is way over the top, this company is nothing short of a disappointment.
On 1/1/19 my Touareg broke down 200km from home and I am still yet to get an answer on what is going on despite numerous calls to the dealer (who told me I wasn’t a priority as they already have jobs booked in and that they were waiting on VW Australia). I now don’t have a car that can do what this one was supposed to do nor do I have any solution to the problem. I can’t beleive that this company could be so incompetent.
In short don’t buy a VW because if something goes wrong you are screwed and they really do not care about their customers.

Terrible service - would never recommend!
I have a volkswagon golf - the Mechatronic part went in it and $2000 dollars later, terrible terrible service and 3 weeks later I still have no part and no car - I cannot say this enough - do not buy one and please do not buy a brand of car that has anything to do with Ford, Land Rover, Jeep or Volkswagon, they do not stock parts in Australia. The staff are incompetent and far from helpful.

2017 amarok lemon.
I recently broke down once again in my 2017 Amarok that I purchased new. When I went tweed heads Volkswagen to get the problem fixed and they advised me that they couldn’t fix the problem till it broke down again even know the roadside assist person had advised the fault.
Shocking service from Volkswagen once again.
Two days after getting the car back it has now broken down stain after faulty workmanship or parts.

Berwick VW Melbourne - not truthful and do not buy from them
I recently purchased a 2017 Golf Alltrack from Berwick VW in Melbourne. It was listed as an executive demonstrator in new condition. I was sold it with the understanding that it had 6,766 kms on it, impeccable body and a full tank of fuel. When i picked it up, it had been driven almost an extra 4,000 kms, the tank was empty and there were scratches all over the bonnet and front tyre rim. It was obvious that it had been continued to be driven in the time that I put a holding deposit on it. As I had travelled from Canberra (one taxi, flight, bus,...Read more
train, bus and long walk) to the dealer, I was not in a position to not take the car. And there are no diesel Alltacks in Canberra. I have tried to contact both the salesperson and sales manager but they have not returned either my emails or texts. Obviously not interested in after sales care. Do not use this dealer!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

They still haven't learned their lesson !!!
After being found criminally negligible overseas and paying out billions of dollars in fines (and facing class action law suites in Australia) it appears this company still has not learned it's lesson. They are still lying to and cheating their customers.
I speak from first hand experience when I purchased not one, but two brand new vehicles from them. A Golf and a Polo, both with manual transmissions.
Experienced the same issues with both cars. Notchy transmissions and an intermittent issue which made it almost impossible to put the car...Read more
in gear from a standstill. Not only was this frustrating but it was incredibly dangerous when you are at a red light and have to take off again in a hurry. Spent close to two months of my personal time (including dozens of phone calls and emails) liaising with their so called "VW Customer Experience Team". My case finally got escalated to a "Senior Manager" who was as incompetent, unprofessional and forgetful as his "customer experience" team. The service manager at Austral Volkswagen (who finally assessed the vehicle) said the notchy transmission was a Characteristic of vw's manual transmissions - I still have his voicemail stating this. As far as the intermittent issue goes, he stated he could not identify it. What an absolute joke.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

South Yarra Volkswagon Service Department Money Grab
Saturday a fortnight ago I stopped into South Yarra Volkswagon as a light came on my dash and I wanted to check what I should do. I was met with a young mechanic who after seeing the light on said its "Glow Plugs", pop in next week and we will run a diagnostic to be sure, he then asked "do you do a lot of city driving?", which I said no as I travel to Wangaratta to visit my partner and family every fortnight (670Km return). On the young mechanics advice I dropped in Monday and got a diagnostic.
After this diagnostic I was handed a slip of pape...Read more

Avoid Obsorne Park VW - no action talk only!
This car dealership should renamed to No Action Talk Only. Customer care and service is non-existence, keeping making up excuses with a fault in my car which is still under warranty but wont take any actions to listen to the customers. All they care about meeting monthly revenue KPI's and gives zero care about their customers. Very disappointing and terrible with service - Life's too short to be dealing with them - Avoid them!

Castle hill service -terrible !
So my new golf R has a malfunction in the seat electronics and I was advised it will be a few weeks for the part to come in. ( service guy here is sooo quiet and so difficult to understand - how on earth is this not complained about ) a few weeks pass and I call and get the service receptionist who is so rude !! Service manager is in “training” and will get back to me by the end of week. Reading the other reviews here, makes me believe I won’t be getting that call.
This is my 3rd new golf - there won’t be a 4th!!!

Bought a car almost two and a half months ago, one of the headrest was missing. They promised they will get me one, but never did. Rang almost every week since then and every time I rang someone promises that they will get back to me but never does. Power steering pipe was leaking, they replaced with a dodgy one. Highly recommend to avoid this place.

#RUN PEOPLE, RUN!#
Worst car buying experience in my life! I wish I could give them zero star! Very unprofessional, not responsible and responsive. People keep changing in the company, you can't count on their words. They just want to sell you something, as soon as you signed the contract, the trouble starts.
Even if they are the only dealership on the earth that have your dream car, don't waste your time and money to deal with them. I purchased a 2015 VW CC few months ago, they lied to me several times and changed their words frequently, as soon as I signed th...Read more

My family have bought 2 - 3 VW cars, possible 2 from Osborne Park VW and one from other.
Days ago my wife saw a big banner from Osbourne Park VW car yard with 5 years warranty...I have checked WA Volkswagen website and one other VW car yard, VW Tiguan 132 TSI White is $46629 drive away with 5 years warranty, 12 months registration and 5 years Road Side assistant; and I do believe there is still small margin for pushing the price down a bit . Because I have bought c...Read more
ar(s) from Osborne Park VW and really don't have time to play around, test driving etc, aftercall my family has owned a Tiguan before, so I rang Osborne Park on 6/10/2018 8:02 am ( Saturday ). I frank told the lady sales that I own VW and just asked to give a price for Tiguan White, TSI 132, five seats, no additional option and with the intention to take one out. The lady sales believing I was an idiot gave me a quotation of $47000 plus ( ? $ 47250 ) with only 6 months registration. After a few conversation expressing I am not impressed it is expensive than others and VW Perth recommends price. The lady sales then told me Osborne Park is the largest VW car yard and told me to come for a test drive then negotiate the price. I really don't have time and was ready to do 'pay and pick ' as I have owned 2-3 VW and one was a Tiguan... That showed the unprofessional and unethical standard of the Sales in this car yard and hope potential clients beware unless the top management have the sales retraining or be more smart with dealing with honest clients.Similar opinion? To rude to do business
Went to look at used car, offered 3500 grand below asking however they couldn't be bothered engaging us in a negotiation...they said 'we weren't even in the ball park' and the salesperson walked off without even saying goodbye or thanks for your time or giving us an indication of what they were looking for price wise... We left amazed and considered ourselves lucky if this is how they treat you even before you hand over your money... We were cash buyers and luckily found a great car the next day of which we paid considerably more than they were asking...its all about relationship building folks.!!!. Thanks Kia for alerting us to your dealerships shoddy level of professionalism...

DO NOT BUY A VW CAR ANY MODEL
Unfortunately I bought a new VW Golf Alltrack 9 months ago from the registered dealer in Bunbury.Nearly two months ago my wife collided with a roo in the highway causing fairly minor frontal damage. The car was repaired and there are no complaints about the repairs carried out at an independent crash repairer.
The trouble began when the car was returned to the VW dealer from where I bought the car. since a front sensor was damaged the car has to be connected to a VW garage computer to be "set up", that`s all, the car drives ok it just nee...Read more

Can anyone suggest a competent service place for new Crafter (4motion). In Melbourne. I am quite fearful re above reviews but there is no other vehicle to match and I wonder if new factory to build might offer a better product. Am I a dreamer?

I'm sorry, whilst Berwick VW seem to very excellent in the sales area, we haven't had the car long enough to test the service department.
VW Berwick nearly literally killed me, had my car serviced by them every 3 months, they were consistently telling me they had checked/replaced my brake pads, then less than 1 week after the last service I let them do, I put my foot on the brake and the car kept going, horrible metallic sound, had it checked by a third party, all brake calipers were metal on metal, cost $1600 to fix. AVOID!
That's what I was fearful of. Thanks for the input.

Why doesn't VW have a Cherry Red Caddy TSI 220 available any where in Australia? To have to order something four months or more in advance is ridiculous. My dealer in Hervey Bay couldn't even show me a metal sample of the colour. You're colour range on the face book features Cherry Red. I'm very disappointed. All that is available in Queensland I've been told is the Caddy TSI 220 auto petrol is black, silver or white.

Helga Becker.

We bought a petrol VW Tiguan model 2009 with 106000 km from a dealer near Liverpool. From the day they sold it we had no end of problems and it keeps going into safety mode despite numerous repairs. They would not fix it properly to take it back. This has been going on for 2 years now and enough is enough. I look forward to expert advice. Any ideas?

You need to bite the bullet and get rid of it, allalrernatively you can go to the CEO and request intervention.
I have lodged a claim with VCAT for unconscionable conduct as they don't want to respond to my queries or own up the failures of their staff
We are trying to get rid of it but on that day it went into Safety mode again and they returned it!
