They are pretty good but after handover I have seen not much support when you need it.like I have few issues after handover but seems no body cares.there inspectors won’t approve your minor issues by giving some points which we don’t even know about.
They will just make some reason by saying you’re contract doesn’t say this or that..
Very hard to deal,me personally I was thinking to build my investment property with burbank after building my first home with them, but the way they are going after handover I now feel that I should be looking for another builder.

Hi
Re: Job 13923 in Point Cook.
Our house took 18 months to compete with 4 site supervisors and issue after issue after issue.
There are pending defects that need to be rectified as per PCI during handover and the site supervisor is not showing much interest. I asked the leftover hard rubbish to be removed which was simply dumped on the opposite vacant block so I had to have it removed at my own expense because the don’t want neighbours to think that we are illegally dumping rubbish.
Could you please assist us in rectifying pending defects so it does not affect our review to be left soon on this website? Thanks

Hi Jay,

We are sorry to hear about your Burbank experience.
Can you please send us an email to [email protected] along with your job number and the list of defects in your home, this will then be passed onto the Warranty Team for them to look into for you.

Thanks for the prompt reply. The defects are not part of the maintenance but they are items the PCI and during handover they are also noted on the PCI sheet and the site supervisor was suppose to fix them. Warranty team will knock it back and will advise me to follow up with the site supervisor. This is our second house with Burbank and I am aware of the processes. Could you please follow up with the constructions manager? We are really frustrated coz we are just stuffed around by Burbank and there is no one who is helping us. We waited 18 months for the house and we are still chasing Burbank to fix the defects, it is disappointing.

Hi Jay,

Because you have settled into your home, your first point of contact now will be the Warranty Team and not the site supervisor. Please feel free to call the head office and we will direct your call to them directly and they will look into your PCI items for you.
If you don't want to call again please send an email to [email protected] along with the defects list and we will pass it onto them for you.

Normally what is time frame to build 24sq. House?

Hi there,

Lovely to hear from you.

This is a question we frequently receive from prospective customers- how long will it really be until you get the keys to your new house?

Well the short answer is, every house varies. Depending on the complication of your build, whether it is a single or a double storey design, if it is on sloped land and so on can all impact the time of the build. Additional factors include extreme weather conditions, delays in the required approvals from council and town planning and so on. It’s important to keep in mind that the reasons for delays are by no means restricted to Burbank- all builders are faced by the same challenges.

We usually say that a standard single storey home should take 4-6 months in construction.

At Burbank, we offer our customers Guaranteed Site Starts, which are available for those whose land is ready and when the developer has completed all roads and services to their land.

A Guaranteed Site Start date also assumes the customer available for appointments as requested to ensure we remain inside the scheduling dates and also assumes that a customer is able to make decisions quickly (within reason) and sign off on documentation ensuring the ball continues to roll throughout each stage of the build.

You’ll discuss these intricacies with your New Home Consultant who is an expert on all things house and land, and once you have finalised all of your sales paperwork and completed the sales process (i.e. selected the design you like and all changes) a Guaranteed Site Start day can be offered.

The administration period takes approximately 12 weeks from when you complete the sale process, so you can be on site within 12 weeks of completing your sales process.

The time frames of construction in itself as previously mentioned vary from home to home, however as a rough guideline we say the process will generally take anywhere from 4-12 months. The exact forecast will be highlighted in your contract which will also provide a completion date set at the beginning of the build. Further, the contract will detail how much Burbank will reimburse you should the build exceed this timeframe.

This will of course allow you to arrange all that you need to in terms or organising the timing of varying factors.

Another benefit of building with Burbank is our new platform ‘MyPlace’, which allows you to track the progress of your land through an online platform with graphs and imagery of your site so that you can see you home as it moves from stage to stage.

Hopefully this sheds some light on your queries- we understand how enormous the decision is when it comes to choosing a builder and hope this clarification has provided you confidence in choosing Burbank- we’ve been building homes in Australia since 1983 and we would certainly love to build yours.

Many thanks, Sam :)

Hi Sam,
I am building with Burbank in Point Cook. I have copied you in an email last week. The whole process is taking a toll on my wife and my mental health. Could you please look in to our file? There are two many issues mostly similar to what has been reflected in the Victorian reviews and I don’t want to list them yet. They recently changed our building supervisor and it’s been two weeks since he has taken over and he is still trying to get his head around the job and all he wants done is to do a clean up of the site and it has taken him two weeks to do that and the only cleaning done on site is the front waste cage being empty and that’s it. I spoke with him over the phone last week and he came across a bit rude so I finished the call as it was not getting any where. Also, I gave him few days notice to meet on site but apparently he could make it at that time and wanted me to meet him 6:30am on site when it is still dark with scaffolding and trip hazards every where. Could you please assist if possible? I wanted to give you an opportunity before I leave my feedback and take this further with the state manager and Burbank CEO. Hand over date as per contract is 20th April 2022. Job # 13923
Thanks
