Perfect little dust eliminator
These are so handy as I have a small house m I can easily whizz around and get most done on a single charge. I could have spent more and got Thebes latest model as I’ve previously done but this one has been good enough and I’d highly recommend it for anyone thinking of getting one. We also got the full accessory kit thrown in which is handy for cleaning tricky spots like the car and around the base of furniture.

Regret buying this vac. Fills up rather quickly and doesn't last long only 10 mins approx. It has trouble sucking on thick rugs and carpet. For a superior brand I expected more.
I've owned it less than a year, maybe use it once a week and the battery is playing up. I spoke to a co-worker who had the same issue and it's a known issue, flashing red light. They sent her a replacement even though batteries aren't usually included in warranty was what she said. So I called Dyson and yep without asking any questions the rep straight away said you nee...Read more

Piece of crap
Brought the crap for about $800 .I use it once a week on a small house after 20 minutes of use it dies and now my battery has gone in it after 2 years. I don't use it everyday for the price I'm better of going to get a kmart one they last year's and years....that costs $100 .never buy a dyson don't waste your money. Trust me its not worth the pain and money

Battery and major motor head issues
Fairly impressed with the convenience and suction of our stick vac but unfortunately the first battery died in just less than 2 years. Thankfully this was covered under the 2 year warranty. Then at 3 years old the motor head stopped working and after extensive testing via phone support I'm told I have to replace the whole motor head at my cost because the warranty has expired. So $125 later, I'm thinking it's not worth all the money to buy these machines if major parts need replacing after only 3 years!

not worth the money
I have used 2 different dyson stick vacuums in my home be a two level house. both have been a total waste of money. Constantly stop working and even after a full clean following instructions will only do one clean and then stop. One of them will not work on the rotating floor head. I do have a corded version and is doing ok. I don't think I would recommend or buy again :-(

The outside of the box needs a warning on it stating that it totally does not work on all carpets.
It did not work on my carpet at all - you needed to be a weight lifter or walk backwards for it to work on my carpet. I was told by Dyson that maybe BigW should have warned me and I replied that maybe Dyson should have printed the same warning on the outside lable. No answer for that suggest from Dyson. Because I did not use my v cleaner for a few months after my purchase nobody wanted to know about my problem and had already put the box into the bin. Not a happy customer. I noticed it is discontinued - I wonder why?????

Not hugely impressed considering it’s dyson
Not as quiet as all the adds make them out to be.
We bought this vacuum because we have a dog and a cat. The vacuum finds it almost impossible to suck up cat litter granules (they are literally paper pellets so very light) instead it just pushes them around and/or flings the cat litter granules across the room. Doesn’t pick up my dogs hair either which is almost like horse hair.
Doesn’t vacuum granular dirt either and struggles to vacuum dirt that sits along the edges of your room. String or fluff just gets stuck in the head of the vacuum C...Read more
ONSTANTLY! It also throws out hella dust at you when you empty it because the latch is so difficult to open. The bin is hard to open and empty. It’s loud. I could go on and on about how disappointed I am in this dyson vacuum.Purchased in March 2021 at Harvey Norman for $389.00.

It's just the BEST
When I started using this vacuum, it was for all types of flooring ie. Carpet, rugs, linoleum, tile and wood flooring too.
Fantastic for dog and cat hair on upholstery.
It's light and amazing for the stairs and the cars.
It's great not to have to lug a heavy vacuum and worry about plugging in cords.
I have also said to friends and family it's a must.

Dyson V6 Animal is awesome
I have carpet and a large hard floor area, the Dyson V6 Animal is perfect, it's cordless, light and does a great job on my black carport as I have two (2) white Jack Russell dogs, picks up all my dogs hair without too much effort, it's also extremely simple to pull apart when you want to give it a good clean and change the filter, I would highly recommend this product.

Great quality and powerful
This mounted permanently in our caravan and is great for daily cleaning on a combination of carpet and lino. Only downside is the short battery life on the full strength setting.

Dyson new service centre fantastic
Have owned this stick vacuum for a number of years. Worked well on all types of surfaces. On carpet the max power setting is ideal but battery depletion is considerably faster but it focuses you to get the job done quickly. After a few years of use the power would intermittently stop and start. Problem initially evident on max power setting and could only use low setting. After a while low setting would not work either.
Went to Dyson’s new service centre in Melbourne. New premises, great layout and display of new products but importantly staff...Read more
provided excellent service. For $150 a new body, charger and canister were provided along with a new 2 year warranty; essentially a brand new vacuum cleaner. What surprised me is the lady who served me cleaned my vacuum and showed me there are actually two clips to depress to completely empty the canister after each clean. For years I had thought there was only one clip which flicks opens the bottom of the canister and allows you to dump vacuumed contents into a waste bin. An inner clip then allows you to also remove the canister to allow a thorough cleaning around the cyclones. I learnt something new! Thanks Dyson!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Not good for left handers like me
Both my daughter and I bought it around the same time I think about 4 years ago.
We both love it because it’s light and easy to move around.
I think the following improvements would make it even better:
Once you use on the carpet - it sucks the power so quickly; otherwise, if just on wooden n tiles, it’s pretty good
Hard to suck up the little bits underneath the kitchen cupboards etc
The little head on the bottom of the vacuum roller keeps popping out
The worse is trying to empty the stuff out of u r a left hander - virtually impossible
Despite all this, I would buy another one once this one goes kaput

Great little cleaner
great to use on any surface, cleans deeply and can be used on your car as well as indoor use on those jobs that don’t require the use of a large cleaner.

So Good - Best Thing Ever
Use this vacuum cleaner daily on both carpet and tiles and absolutely delighted with its performance. In fact, we can’t believe just how much it picks up - even with such regular use. It is lightweight and so easy to guide between the furniture that the task of vacuuming has never been easier. It also has a handy power boost button for heavy traffic areas. Dyson certainly stand by their products as the battery recently died outside of warranty, but was still replaced for free. Will certainly upgrade to a new model when this one requires replacement.

Very convenient, does the job, great Dyson after sale service
I purchased my Dyson on an online shopping site and 14 months later the battery stopped functioning, I contacted Dyson and despite being out of warranty they replaced the battery given the use would of been minimal. Great stick vacuum for small areas and light daily use

My Dyson works fine on normal mode but on Max it cuts out after about 10 seconds. I have cleaned out every filter and disconnected and reconnected the battery, however it still didn’t work properly on Max mode. I contacted Dyson and they believed that it was the recharger, even though it was just out of warranty they sent me a new one, and they were fantastic to deal with. I received the new charger but it didn’t fix the issue. Please help me as I Love my V6 animal but I really need to be able to use the Max mode.

My v6 animal has had a replacement 3.0AH battery which worked fine for a couple of months until it stopped and when it is put on charge the solid blue light comes on but does not ever go out and the unit does not charge.
Is this a charger a battery fault or something else?

The battery on my Dyson animal was replaced by the Dyson Repair Shop just over 12 months ago - it has been working fine until today. A red LED light flashes when I press the trigger and nothing happens - there is no light at all when on the charger. Do I need to replace the battery again or is this a bigger problem?

If you look at your instruction booklet, (if you do have one) you will see if you have red light or flashing red light, it denotes a fault. You will need to contact your Dyson dealer to have it looked at. Is it still in Warranty date? Is it out of warranty date. Regardless, you need to have it checked. Red light shows it is not charging. It may not be the battery. Take it back to the repair shop. ASAP.

Sorry to hear about this, a flashing red light indicates something not right within a component of the machine.
