Absolutely useless service and useless customer service!
This “service” should be renamed to robbing you senseless! Cannot believe I bother to place three seperate orders with ikea deliver for all to be lost. Customer service team are equally as useless, their response is basically after two weeks of no contact and response for your lost order, we won’t do anything to help you and you can go into store and buy it yourself. Have never dealt with a more incompetent system. Shut it down as you are ruining the ikea brand!

Never ever use their postal service
Excited that ikea products were finally available at drop off locations in Gladstone where I am located. (5 hours north to closest store) larger item arrived on time. Yes it was a 45 min drive to the transport place that was ok if I had been notified it was ready. My smaller items which were supposed to be sent to address at a later time have now just shown up at the same location. A 500g package, 45 min away, only info was that it had been ‘delivered’. After ringing multiple companies I have found it and quite frankly you can shove it where the sun doesn’t shine because isn’t even worth the petrol or time to go get it. Expected more ikea. Grandsons Xmas present arriving 13 days later than told too!!!!

Terrible delivery service, would give 0 star
I was expecting a mattress delivery today between 8am-8pm, I was home all day, no follow up calls, the tracking website did not show any status updates. I have never experienced such a terrible delivery service from an established business like IKEA.
Rang customer service the next day, waited for 26 mins still no operator answered my call, got frustrated & hung up my call.

Delivery process is amateurish!
Delivery window is 12 hours! Somehow they cannot narrow this. They will not leave the items when no one is home - even if you agree to accept the risk. So they take your item back to the warehouse, inform you its your fault, and then charge you again for another delivery attempt. They don't accept any responsibility for this and blame the delivery company which they sub contract.

Ikea online ordering
Extremely poor online ordering service. I took 13 days for them to advise part of the high chair was out of stock, the rest of the high chair arrived minus its legs. A week later I received another seat but no legs. Tried ringing, it was post Christmas so understandably they were busy, however my call was answered after 35 minutes for the young woman to put me on hold and hang up on me. I eventually spoke to someone who organised for the legs to be despatched. In today's age of online ordering, IKEA are very, very slow and disorganised.

Delivery and Tracking
Don't think I would shop online with this company again. The delivery and tracking are nowhere near as efficient as other online stores I've shopped with and I've shopped with many. Even overseas. The tracking is not accurate and you are given a delivery time window and this does not occur. The driver kept telling me he would be at my address at a certain time and he wasn't. return it to the store and you run the risk of another delivery fee. This is fine if you know when the delivery is to take place and it is on time. If you miss the delivery you have to wait for the delivery company to contact you - you cannot ring them or email. Delivery time delay
I was expecting a delivery on 28th Dec 2018 between 8am-8pm. It got delayed and had to waste whole day without any information and my calls were mostly unattended for next 2days. I got the delivery on Jan2nd,2019. I assume it might be because of xmas and new year holidays. But it would be great if you inform your customers regarding the delay prior itself, so that they can use their valuable time. IKEA is a great shop. So we customers expect that quality in delivery as well.

Unreliable home delivery service
Placed an order, in November, of Christmas items after receiving a Christmas items advertisement email as an ‘IKEA family member’
The order was due on the 20th Dec and didn’t arrive. When I finally managed to speak to someone on the 23rd they informed me items were on back order, I had no notification of this and had to cancel the order as they weren’t much use in January!
I then had to run around the shops trying to replace them, which defeated the whole purpose of avoiding Christmas chaos by buying early online.
The items were available at time of order, surely an email notification isn’t too hard if there are issues. I’ve had better service from Chinese sellers on eBay!

Follow on from below. We finally had the online kitchen planning appointment, which consisted of Ikea using skype to share our computer screens and us talking on the phone. I had the same kitchen consultant from beginning to end, and I found the consultant very helpful with loads of suggestions to best utilise the space, cupboards and drawers. The consultant was knowledgeable on products. After purchase delivery was easy and received every item.

rs, we sourced our benchtop from another supplier because Ikea couldn't make it to the size we needed. We installed the kitchen ourselves the assembly instructions where easy to follow. The cover panels are a different white to the Savedal fronts. ********** I made an online kitchen planning appointment a month ago for the 22/12, paid the $99, received an email on the 11/12 to confirm booking date and time which I confirmed, the day has come and no call no contact. Called customer care, just advised that they would refund money and arrange another appointment and to expect a call from ikea. Do not order anything online
We order several thousand dollars worth of furniture for our new house on the 24th of Nov. the delivery date was 21 st of Dec. a bit of a wait but we thought itnok as long as kids bedroom furniture arrived in time for their first Christmas in the new house. We also ordered a sofa bed for overseas visitors arriving on Christmas Eve. I took the day off work and waited home all day. By 8pm we started getting anxious so called the help desk only to be told not only was our delivery not coming today but that it was never coming today. Someone forgot to call us to let us know. Now they won’t rebook deliver until after new year. Lots of apologies and blame shifting but not much help I’m afraid. Way to to go Ikea.... you guys suck!

We compliant the service of the delivery, the customer service support team leader (Axxxxx) didn't listen and condemn my compliant . She said there is no further department that we can compliant her.

Poor customer service
Placed an on line order and received confirmation of delivery date. After calling toll as the tracking number I have been given by Ikea doesn't work toll have told me the number is invalid. The parcel hasn't arrived spent the day on the phone on hold 5 times for over 30 mins, sent 2 emails no reply still waiting on my order I will never place an online order with Ikea again. Not a happy customer at the moment.

Delivery service 3rd World - follow up even worse after waiting 22 days
I was advised by IKEA Northlakes to order online. I did. 22 days ago. I was provided with one delivery date, there was no show. I waited 45 minutes on the phone, eventually got an SMS that delivery delayed and needs to be rebooked. Another 30 minutes on the phone, and the delivery rebooked for today. Again, no show. I gave up waiting for someone to answer the phone after half an hour. Not only that, the Airtasker installer put a whole day aside, costing me a cancellation fee. king service - or lets say - there is NO service. Oh, and I live within 4 km of the city, and only 20 mins from the IKEA warehouse. I would suggest to anyone reading these reviews, you do NOT order online and organise your own courier service. This does not negate the fact that IKEA offers this service but does not deliver, I expected a lot more than this. This is ruining our overseas visitors experience while we wait at home needlessly for hours waiting for a delivery, notwithstanding we have boxes of clothes and items piled up everywhere as we disposed of the old built in storage to make way for the new IKEA furnishings. Do not order anything online!
Have also been scammed with the online ordering and wish I'd checked product review first. Ordered 3 Flisat shelves on the 13/11 and the money was deducted from my account that day, I then received an email with a receipt and another email with a link to track my order. When I clicked on the link it said delivery would be on the 16/11. We are now well and truly into December and the website still has the same information, I have also phoned Ikea 3 times where I just get an automated service and am on hold for over 30 minutes each time. The call is never actually answered. Have emailed 2 times and never gotten a response.
Honestly thought I was ordering from a reputable company and would not have any issues, I was very wrong.

Worth experience in a while....
Usually my previous purchases with IKEA in store, had been great. Great idea - that had been around for decades all around the world, easy to navigate warehouse.
But this time around I tried delivery service - $9. It was a big mistake...
Estimated delivery data pass without delivery, but that was only a start. For the next 10 days I received 10 delivery and shipping notifications emails from Toll - 'we will deliver today'. Toll - no delivery, only misleading automated emails.

Utterly Horrendous
ABSOLUTELY HORROR! NEVER EVER ORDER. SHOCKED AS DIND’T expect such an experience with IKEA. Ordered online on Black Friday and the order confirmation stated will be delivered on Tuesday and since this it has gone into an abyss. No response to multiple emails and call centre does not exist. One hour on to the IVR queue and calls do not go through to a staff. Tried to call toll who they use for delivery and they are equally clueless.
I am going to ACCC to sort this.

How they sent my delivery out
Ordered a whole kitchen from ikea to be delivered and how they wrapped and strapped the pallet to send it over 1000km away was disgusting. We went to pick up from collection point and the pallets were collapsed and were falling over. also was late on delivery and spent over an hour on the phone last week to be told they’d refund $100 to me which they haven’t done.

The worst customer service
Delivery didn't arrive (purchased early November, it's now December), impossible to contact anyone on phone, email requests ignored. Finally received an email with a "case number" and then no further contact - I'm stunned at the incompetence! Will now try driving out to a store to try and work out how to get my ordered products :(

Okay, but not great
I bought a bed from IKEA which was the Askvoll Bed and when it got delivered it was broken, when i called ikea to find out what was going on they. Did not even know what i was talking about i had to go back and forth as the invoice number was not coming up on their end finally after 1 week of waiting for a call back someone called me and let me know that a new bed would be sent out. So a bed i was meant to get 2 days later ended up taking 2 weeks not happy with this

After reading all these bad reviews I wander why IKEA does not change their delivery policies, and particularly their courier Mytoll, which is hopeless? IKEA can make a contract with some other delivery service, for example, Australian Post is absolutely excellent. or anyone else, but not Mytoll.
Does IKEA care about customers' reviews at all? Or is this a strategy to shun customers from ordering online?
