Wonderfully quiet and efficient
After a poor experience with iRobot, this is a wonderful machine - so quiet and thorough and has no problem with fluffy rugs or skirting boards. Doesn't smash into things the way iRobot did or get tangled in cords and has different cleaning patterns including being able to designate the cleaning space ( although takes a bit of time to set up so don't use it as much now). Still do a proper vacuum n ow and then but not as much as with the iRobot as this one is more efficient and the dust container is sealed and washable. Also doesn't freak the cats out like the other one did so better all round - very pleased with this lovely machine!

Ok
Dose it job. The only thing is when it go's from the tiles. It stops working telling me to check it's wheel or remove object from its way. I still feel like I have baby sit it as it still gets stuck under my buffet. So it dose not learn very well. It works better then the one I got from Godfrey. So it still picks up the dirt so I am not sweeping so many times a day.
Picks up dirt
Don't like rugs. Gets stuck under couch and buffet. Feel like I have to baby sit it

Great little helper, but needed repair after 7 months.
Awesome little machine, although lots of $$$. I was sceptical at first, but after I got him I never vacuumed again (I only have hard floors). It really is that thorough. However, after about six months it started playing up, saying cleaning was completed after only a minute or so. It was fixed locally under warrenty but he was gone for ages because of part delays. I really missed it. All the sensors were replaced, a bumper was fitted and the software updated and now he is as good as new. I would have given full marks except for the breakdown and delays. I'm very glad I purchased an extended warranty.
Does ALL my vacuuming!
$$$, needed repair within the year.

LG Roboking Square
We have two dogs and one sheds what feels like his entire body of hair each day all over our home. I have a hand held dyson which I use each morning before work but found it really time consuming and I certainly didn't want to be one of "those" people who are always cleaning. So I decided to buy a Robo Vac and did some research online including the Choice article and decided that the LG Roboking Square seemed like the best one going at the moment.
I was expecting it to do an 'ok' job at reducing the amount of dog hair on my floor boards bu...Read more
t really wasn't expecting it to be able to pick up all the white hair off the dark carpet in my bedroom (even the dyson struggles with that), but what I have found is that it is pretty much picking up 98% of everything on the floors and the carpets look amazing. This thing has seriously exceeded my expectations and I can't recommend it highly enough. I'm finding that it is getting stuck in a couple of places which I now block off (it gets wedged under one of my couches and it tries to mount the speaker stand and gets stuck there also) but I'm finding that its working its way around the house quicker each time and also finds its way home more quickly (after a week of use). I can't recommend this product highly enough, especially if you have pets. Its so nice to have my dogs inside the house with me but without suffocating on dog hair! Cleans the edges of walls and corners, doesn't bump into things, picks of dog hair off carpet, handles transitioning from floor boards to carpet with no issues, finds its way home to recharge before heading back to where it left off. Keeps getting stuck in two places pretty much every time. Have now had to block off these two areas.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

LOVE IT!!!! BEST PURCHASE EVER!!!
I love this vac! Tossed up whether it was worth it (it's prettty expensive) but i am SO glad we got it! I literally NEVER vacuum my house anymore! It is AMAZING and worth every single cent; Make sure u purchase from Harvey Norman and take in an Internet add for a cheaper price. They will match it! They did for me and we saved loads of $$$$$$! :)
Sometimes it gets stuck :(

Its the best forget the rest!
We have tried other high end botvacs and this baby is by far the best.
Reviews of some of the other botvacs I have read will have you believe that their vacs are better but in truth they are behind the eight ball. I know I have tried a few and came out disappointed and a bit confused as the reviews would have you believe that their vac has all the latest technology and that LGs camera mapping is old tech.
What I have found is that the dual eye mapping is superior.
Goes about its work like a finely tuned soldier!
The only negative is the price but like they say you get what you pay for.

Just a update on the square bot and it's still going strong. We did have to replace the battery but apart from that we have had zero problems.

LG warranty Roboking Sq
I purchased my vac Feb 2013, I have a large house and the vac has to recharge in the middle to complete the whole house, but did a fantastic job. I have had problems with mine, started 6 months after purchase, first it was a something stuck in the left wheel, I phone LG and it was fixed under warranty. 2 months later I had the same problem, I phone LG and again it was fixed under warranty. uld only run for about 50 sec and then would say it had completed the cleaning and dock itself, it would not drive with the remote. I phoned LG again and took it to get fixed. I informed LG that I was worried that if I got it back that it would only work for 2 months and I would be taking it back, or that it would break again just after the warranty ran out, and that I expected this machine to last for 4-5 years, the staff agreed with me and put a case in for it to be replaced or get a store credit. I have just opted for a store credit and am waiting for the paperwork to be completed with Harvey Norman. I am very happy with the service I got, and I was also happy with this product, and will more than likely purchase a Roboking again, although I will probably buy the round not the square as the square design got caught on walls and chairs when it turned around. quiet, efficient, house clean everyday. unreliableSimilar opinion? Sooo quiet!
I borrowed this one from my work to compare it against a competitor. I was blown away with how quiet it is, how easy it finds it's way around the house, the dry mop function on it and how quiet!! Absolutely sold on it and will be putting one on layby tomorrow!
Very quiet, easy to use
The price point but it does have a much better battery than all competitors so can't complain too much :)

I was a little taken with the price but in comparison to the Roomba that does only one third of the features and costs $1100 I think the price is well worth it. However I paid $820 for mine and would be hesitant to pay the full price.

Upgraded from VR5902LVM. Can highly recommend
I originally purchased the lg VR5902LVM several years ago. Found it highly reliable, but tended to bump into chairs and running along walls, leaving marks along the wall. Despite this I have been very happy with this unit. The VR6271LVMB has, so far, demonstrated a considerably improved performance. The vr6271lvmb appears to have improved sensors and detects my furniture more reliably with it rarely bumping into anything. Utilizing it's longer brushes it keeps a distance from the walls while successfully cleaning the areas. The VR6271LVMB i...Read more
s also noticeably quieter than my older model. The turbo mode on the Vr6271lvmb has also resulted in improved collection of items from floor mats. The older VR5902LVM had a cloth mop that dragged behind it like a beaver tail. I stopped using this as it commonly resulted in the unit getting caught on things. The new vr6271lvmb has the cloth mop installed under the unit. The only problem I have encountered is that the unit won't climb onto my floor mat with this feature installed. Without the cloth mop, it soldiers over the mat without an issue. So far am very happy with the vr6271lvmb so far. Like all robotic vacuums, it is not perfect and I expect that it may not always find its home and it may get caught on this from time to time. Beats manually cleaning the floors!! Well worth the money. Reliable, Quiet, scheduled daily cleans.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Don't use it upstairs!
We purchased the LG Roboking Square from HN in O'Connor WA on the advice that it can safely detect stairs because of the array of sensors and cameras etc. For the last 9 months it has been great, very handy to have around, no problem with detecting edges and stairs. Until last week, it decided to launch itself off the upstairs floor and plummet to the ground. HN sold it to us on the basis of safe use upstairs, but LG have said that it shouldn't be used upstairs. We've left it with HN to take it up with LG, so we'll see how we go...

Ruby the Robot Helps Out (VR6270LVBM)
I spent hours reading the reviews on these things, and there are some serious responses to this on Whirlpool. Which is what made me buy this model.
Most people have some issue with one bot or another, so generally I didn't expect amazing things, and really it isn't the technology that impresses me and I will explain why in a bit...

us to feel the floor with our bare feet because with a "proper" vacuum cleaner we are simply not regular enough. So if a bot can do half the quality job, everyday that more than makes up for the once week proper job. And quite frankly all the place this thing gets to is more that we ever did with the vacuum cleaner anyway. So the goal of the purchase: Reduce out guilt about the floor not getting vacuumed, with the added potential bonus of it doing the dream job on the floors we think we did with the "proper" vacuum cleaner and freeing up our time. We pretty much achieved that goal thus far, but it has only been a few months. So we'll see about the build quality in 1.5 year's time1 comment

Ecstatic! Best purchase ever!
Bought this robovac after wanting one of these for about a year. Let's just say that I LOATHE vacuuming with a passion! I have a long haired cat and a small dog who seems to bring half the garden debris inside with him every time he's been outside. I did a lot of research and this model and the model below it (the round, red one) seemed to be the two to choose from. A friend has the round, red LG and is very happy with it, however, they didn't have that model at the store I purchased mine from. Besides, the sales guy offered me the top of the r...Read more
ange square model for only $40 more than my friend paid for her round one only 2 months ago, so why not?! With Robovacs, it appears the saying "you get what you pay for" is true. I have been totally blown away with just how good it is! Easy to operate from the get-go and intelligent. We have a combination of timber, tile and carpeted floors, as well as a couple of mats and rugs and it handles them all with ease. As soon as the roboking hits carpet, it switches automatically to turbo mode for a deeper clean. When you first use the roboking, you think it has missed areas but you soon see that during the first few uses, it is busy mapping out your rooms for future reference. It's quieter than I anticipated and you can easily continue watching a TV show or read, speak on the phone etc. without being disturbed. A voice lets you know what the vac is about to do and will even self-diagnose problems (not that I've had any yet). Large, durable wheels allow the vac to tackle changes in floor height with no problem. We have a split level house and the robovac recognises the edge of a step to prevent any falls. No need for lighthouses as with some of the el cheapo versions. Cleaning the dust collector is a breeze because it is on top of the machine and has a handle for easy removal. Simply dump the dust into a plastic bag and once a week, wipe out the dust collecting box with a cloth or the little brush that comes with the unit. The robovac comes with two rotating bristle brushes - one for hard floors and one for carpet and they are dead easy to change over and clean. You will not believe the amount of stuff this machine will collect during its first few uses! Yuck! If you hate vacuuming like I do and/or you're short on time, this is the machine for you. You can program the vac to start automatically at the same time every day or once a week. There are three cleaning modes - zig zag, cell by cell or circular (for quick clean ups) as well as a remote control that will allow you to direct the vac to wherever you want it to go. Battery life seems excellent. We have a large carpeted main bedroom and walk in robe plus ensuite bathroom and the vac tackled that AND our family room, kitchen and hallway on the one battery charge. When finished making your floors spotless, the vac finds its own way back to the charging base. If it runs out of battery during cleaning, it will return to the charging base, recharge itself and then go back to the spot where it ran out of battery and continue cleaning.Similar opinion? Good but...
We thought we had pretty clean floors but I am amazed by how much stuff this vacuum picks up everyday.
There are a couple of faults though..
We call her Dorothy has she has trouble finding her way home, most of the time we have to shepherd her as she can't find it.
Dorothy will try to go under something forward, realize she can't, turn around and then reverse into it to make sure she gets stuck.
Not supposed to touch things, but the square shape makes sure she rubs when she turns around.
She also has a fascination with the small cat scra...Read more

Roboking is my little helper
I love the way it cleans in different patterns. It does get stuck occasionally on our thicker carpet or under our lounge but I just stop it and move it and start again. Does what I hate doing and lets me to do other housework. We bought it from Harvey Norman and saved $350
Love the square idea coz its gets into corners, better two cameras find dirt easier
Does get stuck occasionally on thicker carpet would work better on low pile carpet

Does the whole house
I thought should add a review as the only other one is a bit unfair. Comparatively speaking this vacuum handles obstacles very well. The sensors are quite good. The vacuum will go over rugs, power chords and other small obstructions. It will have issues where the power chord goes up and in to the socket. Just don't leave power chords hanging simple. It will sometimes run in to a chair leg or other object that is thin. If you have rugs with tassels in them if they are long enough they can get stuck in the rotating brush in the vacuum. It will go...Read more
under your furniture if the furniture is high enough. If the furniture is just barely to low it can get stuck because the sensors face up and down not so much forward. The bottom line is move your cords, your ribbons, your ropes etc. If you can't do this then none of these vacuums are going to work for you anyway! This is a great unit and it will get over things some of the others will not. It traverses my dodgy half laid flooring. PS. get the extended warranty. who knows how long a robot is going to last Very quiet, Good Sensors, surprisingly fast, robust drive wheels to push over bumbs Not perfect sensors, Didn't make wife want me more2 comments

emoving small toys, any papers, any cords, any other things the kids might have dropped you may as well have gone around and vacuumed with your regular machine which ultimately will give you a better clean. Another issue that arose after buying it was that it decided it hates our rug. Don't buy a rug that has bold design, this rug has thick lines and the vacuum thinks it is reaching the edge of something so it stops. I put tape over the bottom sensors to stop this but then the navigation doesn't function correctly.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very handy gadget
I purchased my Roboking about 6 months ago and was initially sceptical that a "robot" could vacuum the floor. Whilst it is not perfect, it is pretty darn good. I have a long haired cat and it deals with her fur and any bits of stray kitty litter on the tiled floors without any trouble at all... the little brushes get into the corners to flick out the fur bunnies etc. It does tend to get stuck on things like power cords, sliding door tracks and under my couch (it tends to get stubborn and just keep pushing itself under even though it doesn't ...Read more
fit, then it just gives up and complains for me to move it or runs out of power and stops if I'm not paying attention). I have noticed that it doesn't handle sandy grit too well either - I live near the beach - it just tends to push it around and leaves it in the grout lines of the tiles (if you had timber floors, I'd be worried about the sand scratching). Sometimes it can go a little haywire and have a mind of it's own - thinks it's finished cleaning when it hasn't etc. I guess nothing is perfect though. It's very handy that I can set it to run while I'm busy doing other things and it means I don't have to get the proper vacuum out as often but I would definitely not suggest throwing away your standard vacuum if you get a robotic one.Similar opinion? No more back breaking vacuuming for this lady
My husband brought the LG Dual Eye 2.0 for me this mid 2013 after I told him he had to do the vacuuming for 1 week. I was skeptical at first because friends who had robot cleaners told me they weren't very good - obviously they didn't buy the LG.

eir shoes, pants, and jumpers every day! Anyway it has been about 7 months now and although the price was a bit hard to stomach at the time but since we've had it, we've retired our Dyson which although has awesome suction was really hurting my back pushing and pulling it around the house. The LG does a really thorough job and gets under our beds, and furniture except one of our couch sets which is less than 8cms off the floor. It has this crazy knack of distinguishing whether things are solid and never move to those things such as chairs or people that are temporarily in the way. As an example I was in the kitchen when it came up to my feet, it went around me and continued to clean other parts of the house and then came back to the spot where I was to clean that up. It has very intelligent mapping. It doesn't go around bumping into things to work out the map of the house. It takes photos and has sensors so it doesn't damage the house. If it's unsure of whether it is movable furniture it does give it a bit of a nudge.** I've seen her move my dining chairs to clean under the chair legs. I usually put it on zig zag mode which apparently is the "quick clean" and not as thorough as the "cell by cell" mode but since I've had it, my house has been extremely clean under the foot. I am always amazed at the amount of dusts it picks up. I have no idea where it all comes from.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I am very impressed by the robot vacuum cleaner. I schedule the robot everyday to run and for the first 3 days I was shocked with how much dust and hair it was picking up. Every few days I have to remove the hairs out of the main brush since they get stuck and I empty it everyday.
I am also very impressed that the robot vacuum cleaner can get under the couch. I have mine set to cell by cell mode and it will zig zag under the couch doing a far better job than I would.

A Piece of Junk
Well done LG, all I can say is this product is junk. I had the original roboking and it worked fantastic and after 1.5 years it failed and I decided to go with the upgraded model. What a nightmare, I get new product and ran it in my house. I have floating floors with a simple carpet rug in the middle of the lounge with a coffee table on top. Spoke to Ali from dispute resolution team and advised me that this product is not suitable for my home and I should look at another brand. I have a very basic clean modern house and still confused and very disappointed by their response. Don't wast your money because even if you find a LG product that works good luck with the warranty process they are arrogant rude and will not care about the customers needs.
