Great. If it breaks I will get another one.
vr64702lvmp Red square robo king is so good. I love it. My old 'robomaid' died last year. I got this one as a gift this year and love it. I get the kids to tidy everything off the floor before school and set it to turn on during the school run. 1 hr later done. Whole house freaking gorgous and I can get any Lego pieces back :/ before the dirt and dust goes into the bin. The dust bin is a bit small but Benji (you have to name your robot, right) is on every couple of days so not too bad. Cleans under beds and lounges brilliantly. I have set all my furniture for our robot vac. First go all electrical cords went in small plain black boxes under beds or behind furniture to stop vac getting stuck. No biggy and it was a one off job. Worth it.

Thumbs down
I turn it on and leave the room, it gets stuck on its own cord, between the wall and toilet, at the couch, at the TV unit and on the fireplace hearth! It gets stuck everywhere. By the time you help it five or six times it's flat and can't finish the cleaning.... It's as useful as a heater full of snow!

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
This has broken down 5 times in 6 months. Bought from Harvey Norman, takes weeks before it's supposed to be repaired and returned. It does not work again! When asking Harvey Norman for a refund/replacement told LG have to give the OK first! I've rung Manilla 3 times, numerous emails to both Harvey Norman and LG to no avail. LG just tells me the case has been escalated, this has happened 5 times now in 2 weeks! Now told they will give a store credit will take 24/48 hrs that was 4 days ago. When it was working was good but I will never pur...Read more
chase an LG product again nor buy from Harvey Norman. This vacuum is for an 86 yr old man and he has had to pay a cleaner to do his floors. Will now look at the Samsung one the service could never been like LG or Harvey Norman.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Poor design
Changed my previous rating and comments. This machine will eventually die, for me anyway. After 5 months it stopped vacuuming down a straight path, it would start to veer off randomly as if it was avoiding an invisible object.
I contacted LG and they sent me to a service centre, the technician fixed the problem. I asked what the problem was, he said it was because bumpers of the machine were scratched up which might have messed with the sensors. They replaced all the bumpers.
Here lies the problem; the scratches on the bumper are bound to app...Read more

The model I can live without.
This is the second one I have had in 18months which has now been repaired twice since January, same problem. Gets stuck and only cleans a small spot. Harvey Norman have been very good as when I took it for the third time today they have said they will refund my money. I haven't had any luck with LG. I wont be buying another from LG.

Faulty product. Poor After Sales Service
Product worked well for first 4 weeks. Then stopped moving properly - now cleans about 3 square metres then returns to docking station. No longer goes forward on manual mode. Took it back to Good Guys -fobbed off, told to ring LG. Rang LG on the 7 day number and was given a reference number then told to ring local service place. If they are unable to fix, then I can take it in for repair but advised I may need to pay. In summary poor quality and poor service.

great for only about 6 month
As I bought it it was great.and I had the round one bevore and was so in love for more as 3 years! This one now is a pain.it cleans well when it runs but most of the time it stops for nothing. tells you to remove material but there is nothing.so you always on the go to look for him.with the Harvey Norman warranty i send it for repair.they update it and cleaned it and it worked for maybe 3 times and now he is a pain again.so I will wait for the new model and get it replaced. until than I have to put up with this there is no other option. because they don't know how to fix it.

Feels great to have a robot!
It is SO exciting to have a robot helping me with the cleaning.
Roboking (or Gordon, as I've named him) does a great job of vacuuming. He picks up all the dirt, is not too noisy, and even talks to me to tell me what is happening.
He has a HEPA filter and a sensor to stop him bumping into things.
He can't be left unsupervised- due to his whirly brushes on the front. They brush the dirt into the path of the vac, but they get tangled up in my curtains or any loose cords or wires. He has also gotten stuck in tight spots. But I just fold...Read more
my washing or potter around while he's vacuuming, then I'm on hand to help if he has run into trouble (in the form of speaker wire). Lastly, he seems to get a bit confused about where he's been and does some rooms twice. This is not a problem cos he eventually goes everywhere. Our small house is done in less than an hour and my floors have never looked this consistently clean (we have wood/tiles). Enjoy!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Good for 8 months, then broken down - support dreadful
I brought 2 of these in January 2014 and for 8 months they were 5 star, could not fault them. Then one started to get lost and spin on the floor on the spot. It was returned for warranty, took weeks to repair, but got it back and it works perfectly ever since.
Several week later, the second developed the same fault. Returned for repair and 6 months later I still do not have a working replacement.
The service centre had the unit for months and could not fix it, eventually this year they replaced it with a new one, but it was faulty straight fr...Read more

Should've Bought This Ages Ago
I did a lot of research on robo vacs as there are so many out there all claiming to be superior to the others. This met our needs as it was within our price range, did what we needed it to do (and more) and comes standard with a 2 year warranty. After the initial charge I did a full vacuum of the house on zig zag mode and despite trying to eat the extension cord it did a brilliant job!! I swept the floor afterwards and couldn't pick up any dirt at all. I then did some manual vacuuming using the remote control and it surprised me how user frien...Read more
dly it was and how easy it was to steer. We only have hard floors and have no need for turbo mode but tried it anyway and while a little noisier still not that loud. We'd definitely be able to sleep through it and would be happy using the scheduling function at night time. It picked up all the pet hair with ease (we have 2 small dogs that live inside) plus the dirt they traipse in as well as general dirt we traipse inside from walking across the garden. Definitely pleasantly surprised!!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Broke down after 1 month
Purchased this robot and was initially very happy. After less than 4 weeks of use, it required x repairs, and 3 weeks later I am still waiting for it to be returned due to parts not being available on Australia. After spending so much money on this top of the line vacuum, I'm very disappointed with the after sales service and would have expected it to be replaced considering it was only 3 weeks old.

load of rubbish
i wasted $1000.00 of hard earned money I am on my second vaccume both have done the same thing always bashing into everything, stopping for nothing in the middle of the floor, always telling me to clean out wheels where there was nothing cant always find home station ruining my skirting boards just a pain but when it works it is fine not too often though

Rubbish, doesn't work after twelve months
We purchased our "supposedly" top of the line LG Roboking vacuum in November 2013, and paid for an extra twelve months warranty so we have three years in total. For the twelve months until December 2014 it worked a treat cleaning but the robot has scuffed up all of our skirting boards and furniture due to the black rubber band around the body. Then in late December 2014 it continuously started to go around objects that weren't there in the house, the robot also keeps asking us to clean sensors which we have numerous times, it is unable to fi...Read more
nd the home station and numerous times we would come home and had to search for the vacuum as it would not be on the home station and the battery was flat. It would also get stuck on nothing saying that there was something under the wheel and there was nothing there. It also started to fail it's diagnostic test and would say take it to LG for repair. Unfortunately for us the day that I reported this to LG the only authorised repair agent within Townsville had shut down on the same day. I had to inform LG that their Townsville service centre had closed down as they had no idea. After providing all warrenty information initially we were told by an overseas call representative that we would need to drive it 400kms to cairns. I was not happy with this response after paying $1000 for a vacuum that was only twelve months old and told the operator this. I was then told that I had to search around for a non authorised repair agent within our area and email the details to LG for LG to liaise direct with the repairer. Conclusion: I am still looking for repairer it has been 11 days since initial contact and due to to the call centre being overseas we are getting minimal communication with LG and LG refuse to tell us the process with repair under warranty since the autherised agent shut down. In hindsight I would not purchase an LG Roboking again due to the high initial money out lay and extremely poor after sales service. Very disappointingSimilar opinion? Life changing
I have a back injury and require surgery but until then I have an issue with vacuuming the house. I brought this robot after reading reviews to allow me to reduce the use of the upright vacuum. I cant speak highly enough of it. Amazing cleaning ability and though it did get stuck a couple of time, by fencing off that area it happily cleans the large area left. I would recommend this vacuum for anyone that needs a vacuum that also picks up pet hair. And I love the voice.

Great at what it does, good for lazy people!
If you're like me and can't be bothered pulling out the vacuum every time your floor requires cleaning, definitely get one of these! This little guy has made my life so much easier. All I need to do is set the timer to clean whilst I am gone to work and I come back with everything done. Ok a few things to point out this is only good for dust, hair and small particles. It is kind of expensive but the time and energy saved is definitely worth it.

Requires constant supervision
We have a small dog that is inside and 2 young children making a daily mess, so a robot vacuum makes sense. After reading the Choice review, we selected this model. Overall we're very disappointed. We have timber floors and a lowset couch sitting on a shaggy rug that the vacuum constantly finds it's way under and gets stuck literally every 5 minutes. It doesn't seem to learn, that it can't fit. I can use the "My Space" mode to have it avoid this area (as I really don't need it to clean there anyway), but there is no way to "save" a space, ...Read more
rendering this mode time consuming and largely useless as I have to spend 5-10 minutes driving it around the border to designate the area. I typically get frustrated and select the HOME button to just have it give up, which it can never seem to find. Sometimes it literally turns around and heads in the complete opposite direction. Even when it hasn't got stuck and had to be repositioned. Most of the time, I have to manually position it so the home is within a couple of metres. Absolute garbage and will be returning the unit to the store. I may look at the Dyson 360 Eye when its released as the App sounds like a good idea as you can view a map of the cleaning and hopefully be able to designate no-go areas!Similar opinion? Does the job but watch out for objects
I made the mistake of buying it on ebay not knowing I get something delivered from Korea. Once unpacked it was all in Korean even the voice. Downloaded a PDF manual from the Australian Website and learned what each button is. Now we get entertained just by its Korean announcements. Other then that it does a better job then some of the Samsung's I had . It does get stuck unfortunately quite often under things since it is a bit higher then a Roomba. And it doesn't get that feet are not to be rolled on. But overall happy especially it gets the hair from our dog every day.

Awesome machine
We decided to treat ourselves with this robot vac for Christmas.
We have 3 small children and I was sweeping several times a day (hating to drag out the big vacuum each time the kids eat).
I wasn't sure what to expect, but this machine is amazing and has totally taken away any need for me to sweep my floors.
It is quiet and efficient, doesn't bug or worry the kids, although they do enjoy chasing after it and trying to press the buttons (thank goodness for child lock!).
We have mostly hardwood floors, but carpets in the bedrooms. It is ama...Read more

Amazing life changing machine
We bought one recently with the aim of it to pick up grit daily on our hard floors and didn't have high expectationsbut it's fabulous. Doesn't miss a spot and returns to its "home" all on its own. We don't have carpet so i can't comment on its ability on anything other than hard floors and it's great - no problem picking up cat hair but I'd run it daily so it doesn't have to work that hard.
It's also super quiet - we can still watch TV whilst it runs in the room. It's not meant to replace your big thorough vacuum but to be used as maintenance - but it does a better job than i would with the big vac anyway!

Surprisingly effective
My husband wanted to buy a robot vacuum as we have a large inside dog who likes to share her fur around. I didn't as I thought it was just gimmicky. I humoured him by looking into it, and we decided to give it a go. We were recommended the LG over the iRobot as a far superior thing based on the kind of technology it uses alone.
So far, it has exceeded my expectations. We run it every couple of days and the floor is devoid of dog hair most of the time. It doesn't struggle with the hair at all. We do have laminate floors throughout but it does...Read more
n't have any trouble with the couple of mats we have. It has a tendency to get stuck in the same couple of spots, but we know about these now and know to watch out for them. I sew and I made a couple of 'snakes' (like heavy draft stoppers) which we use to prevent him going into certain areas or keep him away from cables. We had one issue - the lid wouldn't open after a couple of months, and if you managed to prise it open, it wouldn't close again. Sent off to the local authorised repairer via Harvey Norman, was back in a couple of weeks - they had even replaced all the sensors which wasn't the issue, so just like having a fresh machine! I would especially recommend this for parents of young children - your floors will stay clean for crawlers without having to spend time vacuuming. I'm sold!Similar opinion? It keeps saying “main power switch on the back of the roboking is turned off, please turn the switch on". It is on. And I’ve tried switching it off and back on. I’ve tried cleaning all sensors and tried turning the home base off and on. Still no luck. Anyone had this issue and know of a fix?
