Our build was very well managed, which I think was because we had an excellent site supervisor. There were a just a few mistakes/defects picked up here and there, but they were immediately addressed by our site supervisor. Having a site supervisor who paid close attention to detail, who addressed our concerns immediately and kept in touch regularly, was very reassuring. The final cost was close to the estimate we received from sales (base cost of house + $100k), but there are several things (floors etc) we are doing after handover.

Our experience from sales through to our colour selections and contract signing were handled extremely well by the team at Thornton considering the struggles we endured along the way due to our block issues. Sarah in sales was amazing and Tamara and Tina came up with endless suggestions to assist us before we came to an end agreement which included a custom design to suit our needs. We are so thankful to these ladies for the time and energy that went into our house design to fit in with our budget. Would recommend Thornton office to anyone building their new house.

Mal, Jane and Kelli have been a pleasure to work through my planning stage with.
Very knowledgeable and patient. As a first timer they have generously helped me through the first stage of my building journey. I can only hope the remainder of this journey be as easy and enjoyable.

Was happy from the first colour selection meetings in Sydney Grace was well trained and knew about the products. Kyle Mcpherson managed the site and did it well with communication and project knowledge, the site was kept tidy and quality workmanship, quick to resolve any issues when they arise although we had only one or two, price as they quoted without hidden costs and gave us a finished product in an earlier that anticipated time frame and quality finishes.
Extremely happy and I work in the construction industry

My husband and myself have had two appointments with my choice so far external selections and interior. Neither of us have had any dramas. Annie Katte was so welcoming and a god send! Any query we may have had was answered and Annie gave us great advise. I was a bit nervous about making such big decisions for our home, such as not knowing if colours will compliment other choices that we had chosen, that changed as soon as I realized how caring and experienced Annie is :) Thank you so much for making it an easy process!!

Wow! What a great day for our first My Choice Studio Visit. Annie Katte, you were amazingly helpful, very knowledgeable on the full range of all the exterior products on offer, and were able to advise us on all products that we asked anything about. McDonald jones has been awsome through out the construction of my new home I can't fault anything . The workmanship has been excellent all the tradesman have all been great . I would like to give a special thanks to Stuart Nicholson my building supervisor who has been amazing and easy to deal with . Over all everything has been perfect

We could not be any happier with our site supervisor for the slab stage Tommy Wrixon!!! He has been amazing, very communicative & been there for us every step of the way. I wish Tommy the very best for his future endeavours & i will be referring all my friends to build with McDonald Jones Homes :)

We had a pleasant experience building with MCDJ Thornton. The staff at their Newcastle (Thronton?) office was especially easy and pleasant to deal with. They were courteous and kept us informed of progress so that we knew what to expect and no surprises. Shayne our site supervisor was professional and helpful throughout the building process so we were at ease throughout. The love for their work shows. Keep up the good work guys.

Marissa was our interior designer for our colour selections day at Thornton McDonald Jones Homes. She was a delight to work with. Being so overwhelmed with all the selections we needed to get through, Marissa understood the vision we had for our home and helped us create a home we are so excited to see come to life.
