WA, O'ConnorVisited the store several times to make a decision on the sofa we wanted. Kim was the customer service person who helped us. She remembered us when we returned and the furniture we were interested in. Kim took the time to show us what was on offer and too go through the range of colour options. She was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The store is great, well laid out, lots of choice and good ambience.

When it had arrived I organised a trailer for pickup at their Manage warehouse. All the smaller Items were brought out assembled and we're all damaged, nicked, scratched etc. Consequently flat packed equivalents were brought out and surprisingly had to be viewed in cursory fashion ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD for visible faults. Upshot, got the merchandise home to find it was so badly constructed, multiple defects, inconsistent materials, steps, assymetrical cuts in wooden panels, shocking welding, welding blobs on the steel sections on the table surface, scratches ...a total pile rubbish. Second lie. They don't want to take responsibility, though the items were signed off in Quality Control by the manufacturer, and all the flat packs were clearly undisturbed. Nick Scali knowingly sold me defective product, as [name removed] slip of tongue pointed out, so what was I expecting of furniture which was discounted? Point being that it was purchased in good faith, as a quality item as viewed in their showroom. Clearly, the term ' non disclosure' applies here as pointed out by Consumer protection. So, third lie.I was subsequently disrespectfully treated with apathy, discourteousness and disdain and was TOLD what their policy is!! Let me tell you they are a law unto themselves! Lie number four., Finally they agree to take their rubbish stock, as there is no other description and agree to $150 compensation ([name removed], manager),then calls back reneging on that ..for a store credit instead!, I demand that he writes me a cheque instead, because that is basically how the business world functions,when you have been dealt with unscrupulously in the real world, as opposed to a Nick Scali construct of such. So, not only does their business model function as nothing more than a scam, they are also CHEAP and dishonest when it comes down to compensation for their multiple transgressions, time wasted, kilometres driven, emails, out of pocket expenses and time with Consumer Affairs. They expect me to take a store credit instead when what I really want is a wide berth!! From Nick Scali..Believe me when I say that their business model is nothing more than an elaborate scam and their after sales service is deplorable. He showed me lounges within my price range that would fit the available space in my apartment. Justin took the time to sit with me and discuss my options. When i made my decision he carefully completed the order and added the 5 year extended warranty. Justin explained the delivery details and the ETA on the lounge. This was a first class customer experience, Justin is an asset to your business, look after him otherwise I will steal him away for my retail business.

We are building a house and our "helpful" salesman at Nick Scali assured us that we could wait for delivery as long as we needed till the house was finished. However, after our couches were made Nick Scali started trying to insist on delivery. We managed to get a slight delay by escalating it to the WA Manager. It is noted that we have had absolutely no trouble from other places such as Harvey Norman etc, who have all been most helpful with our build process and will hold things as long as we need. WA, O'ConnorMy husband and I went into Nickscali to find a new couch and dining table. We met saheel who was friendly, helpful and patient with us. He showed us around the entire store while listening to our wants and tailoring his service to us. Saheel is an excellent salesman and is an asset to nickscali! We went away and came back a few hours later to purchase a lounge and dining table. Saheel went through everything again answering every question we had. Nickscali is very well laid out and gives so many options to fit out your house. We are so happy with our purchases and can not wait for them to arrive!

We have a small lounge so was difficult to decide on a lounge to fit our whole family that would fit into our space. WA, O'ConnorI purchased 2 leather recliners from Nick Scali and had them delivered in October 2015. I was impressed by the uncluttered store and the wide range of furniture. At the beginning of 2018 one chair developed small lighter spots on the leather and over a few weeks these became larger and more widespread. The second chair has since developed these spots on the seat. I got in touch with the store who in turn directed me to the service centre, giving me a phone number to call that was no longer available!

A leather specialist came and did some tests and although I have heard nothing official someone from my local store called to say that tests indicated the colour loss was a result of poor maintenance and body oils! And that there was no fault with the leather. I have several other leather sofas all much older than these chairs, none of which have had any issues . I am really disappointed that after finding a retailer that had the styles of furniture I wanted I have been badly let down by poor quality leather. I expect the colour loss will get much worse. WA, O'ConnorPurchased a cow hide leather lounge with extended guardsman warranty and now just on 2 years the lounge is staining, call was made out to get someone in to check it out, only to be told it is body oils, no official testing was done, with just taking photos, no proper checking, one of the tech actually said the staining looked like the leather was not properly sealed or scotch graded properly. This lounge has been maintained with the guardsman product and no one wants to take responsibility to sort it out. It is really sad when you go to buy a piece of furniture they are really helpful, but when you make a complaint, the response is totally different. Will not shop at this store again and will not be recommending it every again.

We also purchased extra warranty just to ensure if anything happened we’d be able to fix it. As the reporters only spent about 5 minutes with the couch we asked for a second opinion (although the interactions from the customer service teams were quite rude, and condescending). They sent the leather doctor out and while at our house he stated that some of it would have been dirt but he wasn’t sure what tsome patches were and couldn’t be sure. The next day we received a call saying that his reported only stated dirt so they were not covering the couch (even though the man had specially said it wasn’t just dirt). I rang him up as I was confused how overnight he’s finding could have changed and without any proper testing being done on the leather. This sub-contractor of Nic Scali was rude and aggressive, and when confronted he lied about numerous things he had said the day before (such as we told him he was the first one to inspect the couch when I had clearly said to him, he was the second opinion we’d requested). I asked how it could be just dirt when he said yesterday he wasn’t sure what the other stuff could be and to that he said he wasn’t sure what he said yesterday but it wouldn’t have been that!! We have made the decision to contact consumer protection as no real evidence proves that it is ‘body oils’ and we also feel that after 2 years that a 5k couch shouldn’t be that worn out and should be able to take more than 2 years of a normal family life. Delivery fee for each product is ridiculous. I appreciate that the delivery people set it up etc but they dont take the rubbish and the actual fee for each piece of furniture is unacceptable. If they all come in the one truck it should be a flat fee.

She was knowledgeable about all the dining chairs, what might be best for our situation. She was super friendly and accommodated our whole family (2 adults, 3 young kids) while we looked throughout the store. We looked at many dining chairs at other stores but found their products to be inferior and service to be poor. As Aman was so helpful originally, we returned a few weeks later to see her again in order to purchase our perfect new chairs. WA, O'ConnorI experienced the worst customer service and delivery! My table was delayed by 2 months and I was not notified it was delayed again until a day before delivery. I made specific arrangements for phone number changes and they did not adhere by that. They called the wrong number on the day of the delivery. On the day I asked to be called 30 minutes prior as I had to drive 40 minutes from work to be there. they called 5 minutes away from home so then they just leave as I was obviously still on my way. I called back when I came home and no one picks
