Just ok
The AX5 is ok for cheap phone. It does everything you need it to do, but it's nothing special. The camera quality is terrible, which is why I ultimately got rid of it. Blurry photos, and bad quality in low light. Very difficult to take photos of kids when they are moving, or inside the house where there's no natural light. The phone also had glitches in different apps, which was annoying. If you're not fussed about the camera or apps and just want to use it to call and text, it's fine. But if you're after quality photos and smooth running of ap...Read more
ps, then opt for something a bit more expensive (I upgraded to the Pixel 3a and love it!). Also, I could not use Skype on this phone as the other side couldn't hear unless I held the it right up to my face, and then they couldn't see me, so it defeated the purpose of video calling. One positive was that it came with a case and screen protector in the box, so I didn't have to purchase them separately.Purchased in September 2021 at JB Hi-Fi for A$389.00.

Great all round performance
Great camera. Great colours. My second Oppo. Did my research. Long lasting battery. Can't fault it as a lower price phone. Being used with many apps. Australian assistance contact. My friends are impressed.

Suits my needs fine
I'm middle aged so not a "high end" mobile user. The phone was a great price from JB and it does everything I need. 13mp camera is great for me and the battery life is terrific. The only problem I have is that it is hard to read the screen while wearing sunglasses, but I'm guessing that's not unique to this phone! Face recognition makes for easy opening and it looks good and came with silicone cover and screen protector already fitted. I would recommend if you are not after a top of the line phone.

Not worth the price!!!
Next to useless!!! Can make and receive phone calls, make and send text messages - that's about all!!! Purchased from telstra shop - no owners instruction in the box - no owner's manual currently available online either. Only owned and used apple iphone before this, so that doesn't help at all!!!

Great back up phone
Very satisfied with this phone.
I bought it at Big W as back up phone, this was my second choice but the first one was not available so I decided to get this one instead.
The camera quality is 8/10- don’t like the selfie camera
Sound is 10/10
Ease of keyboard use- 8/10- although you can hand write your message then convert it to text, it’s not for me. I still love my querty keypad :)
Battery- lasts 5 days for text and call usage but 2-3 days if use for social media and games
Picture/graphics is 10/10. Superb!
I would highly recommend this phone if your looking for a cheap android alternative. It’s lightweight and easy to use. It comes with clear casing and has protective film already. ...Read more
Excellent value for money and great for present too.Purchased in June 2021 at Big W for A$250.00.

Your choice, but not what you select.
Have used 10 months. Good specs huge battery, cheaper value. *Autobrightness constantly adjusts, even when toggled off.
(Developer options also revert, and a constant flashing warning they're on), appears fixed in last update.
Will not get another Oppo, as ColorOS constantly second guesses and updates are rare.
Oppo support are useless, "reset your phone"

Exceptional quality over price
1. Very happy with the camera which takes really good photos (I'm not an expert on this area though) - have a look at the picture I took with my phone
2. Display looks durable but it's not as bright as the Huawei phones that I had before
3. I use it for my daily life including emails and organisers etc
4. Apps are running smoothly no drama
This phone has such a good quality over price. Definitely have better phones in the market but this price probably one of the best within the price range of $180-280.

It will do.
Day 1 of ownership of the oppo Ax5s at 20% discount on sale so for what I paid it's fine but full price you are much better off looking elsewhere, it is a very very budget phone, watching YouTube on this phone will take me sometime to accept and be content with, both visual and audio are in my opinion lousy compared to other budget phones I've owned previously, even with headphones the sound is well....crap, CPU performance is good though loading pages is smooth and speedy, battery is 4230 so should be good for at least a day of even heavy use...Read more
but I have a feeling this phone will continue to disappoint me, other budget phones I've owned were better but this will be fine just take some time to adjust to it. The price was right for this phone though for me and for that amount it is a good phone.Purchased in August 2021 for A$200.00.

Quality phone
The pros far outweigh the cons, the phone works well and screen is good size and colour. its fast as well. Cons are the camera is meh its not terrible but nothing great had far better cameras on phones before, and sound isn't the best it can be hard to hear it in a crowded or louder area when on a call with someone or playing any other type of audio. Overall one of the best phones i have had for a reasonable price. Also still running fine up to 9 months later

Brilliant,Reliable and Stylish Oppo Ax5s
Having had a previous model of an oppo phone I decided to upgrade to the ax5s from ax77 this phone is brilliant. Fast, easy to use, reliable and I have never had any issues. Mine came with a glossy red back and from memory they come in other colours unlike some other models. Well priced for decent phone. Quality cameras and quality features. Top purchase

Great product for great price !
Given the price of this ohone, I want expecting much but have been surprised. Has alot of great quality like screen picture quality and easy to use.
Negative - camera is dissapointing, if you record sound it has a loud crackle sound overtaking what's recorded. Lags alot in games if connected to the oppo game system.
But as said, for the price it's a nice phone

No substitution for a iphone
Having always loved any Mac interface ( i.e phone or computer)it was a big mistake for me to buy an Android. I previously had a Samsung and didnt like it, so made the mistake again buying an android. As I couldnt afford an iphone I thought I would give Oppo a go as I had heard that the camera is good. Well it turns out that it only exceptional if you buy the $700 up models. Somehow it takes a nice selfie, other than that nothing special.
Can only message one photo at a time, google calendar doesnt even give you the whole year on the screen at ...Read more

Excellent battery, no lag. Five star in the budget category
I have had the AX5 for 3 months, It's a great budget phone, excellent battery,.large screen, no lag. Rather sturdy as it fell a few times and the screen did not break. Limitations are: the camera (not too bad but not high end) and a few anoying things with the Oppo sofware, for instance I have tried but not found out how to use Google Chrome as my default browser (for links, searches etc.). I still give it give stars as I rely can't complain it's serving me really well, I like it.

Great value for money.
Had this phone for 4 months now and can honestly say it is a great phone, the camera quality is great, it allows me to run multiple apps at the same time without slowing down. The resolution for the is not quite as good as other phones I have had, it is great for games the large screen offers larger view.

Easy to use and affordable l
Have had phone for 2 months now and find it so easy to use. Very happy with the quality of the photos ...I have been asked a few times what camera I'm using...no just my phone haha. As we are living on the road my phone is used for everything and I'm more than happy with its performance. Only downside and it's not terribly bad is the screen can be hard to see out in the sun. Battery life is fantastic. I would happily recommend infact I already have.p

Great Phone for the price
This is no flagship phone but for $377 outright it is fantastic value. First of all you get a beautiful looking handset with a huge bright clear screen. Calls are clear even on hands free. Apps run smooth and I like color os being a hybrid of apple os and android, somehow for me it just works it is smooth and responsive. Now I did use the clone phone feature we had to buy another oppo ax5 which we used for 2 weeks as the original was left at another location. when we finally got it it was a snap to copy all messages contacts and setting from ...Read more
one phone to another. The camera takes clear images portrait mode works well though I have not tried it out in low light yet. Battery lasts for days literally. Face unlock is quick, sure no finger print scanner but the face unlock is fine. In summing up I would recommend this phone lots of features for a bearable price tag. If you need all the bells and whistles than yes there are other options but lots more coin to fork out.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great but has some Lags
OPPO AX5 Is really great for the price. It has great predictive text, a lot of cool functions like facial recognition and a really nice camera. It pretty much does everything that iPhone and Samsung Galaxy do BUT; It has a lag especially in it's keyboard and games. It is no good for games at all. I love that it has a secure password keyboard but that lags the most. It is also really light and felt a bit curved inward until I pushed on its back and straightened it out. So it's not a tough phone like a Samsung. Everything works fine otherwise and...Read more
is good for a spare phone or an invetweener, which is why I bought one. I wanted a phone that does everything I need while I'm in between phones and I can keep it and use it if I ever need a spare. Oh yeah and it would only transfer items from the cloud not a direct transfer from a nearby phone. I was too lazy to look for an app. I can't wait to see how good my photos are tomorrow when I go to laser skirmish. Dark flash pics are cool.Purchased in February 2021 for A$350.00.

Superb battery performance, thumbs down to overall performance
Camera is terrible at lowlight. Doesn't include fingerprint and nfc. Face recognition is terrible. Sound is bit low. I cant hear person speaking at other end.
Battery is fantastic. I dont have to worry if I forget to put it in charge overnight. Bought it for $379 at JBHIFi and I think I should have bought R15s.

how do i jail brake my phone because i canot rember my acces code
1 answer
First off, just to let you know you can't jailbreak an Android phone, that feature only existed on iPhones. Since you can't access your phone you will have to hard reset your device by pressing the power button as well as the volume down button. Hold onto those buttons till you reach recovery mode and then select an option that wipes the data/restores your device to factory settings. Hope that helps :)
