I had some issues with my initial setup due to the router password not being entered correctly (my own mistake). The Tangerine Telecom team were highly responsive and very helpful in resolving this issue. I have no complaints with the internet service or speeds thus far and am very pleased with my subscription!
Simple to set up, good stable speed - it just works. It's great not having to worry about internet access with two boys in the house who are online as much as we will allow them. We can have 3-4 devices and HD TV going at the same time with no problems at all.

Just keep scrolling. Save your time and energy and don't bother with Tangerine. Find a company that understands the meaning of customer service. They just have a phone line that you wait at least 30mins to be answered. Received their modem, and all emails/text saying service active, but failed to get off the ground. Hours spent with technical support, working through a problem (assume with Tangerine back systems, but I'm not wasting any more energy finding out). Stick with the majors, these guys are beyond frustrating
UPDATE: Day 7 without ser...
Read morevice. Although well meaning technical support employees, communication is lacking continuity when they eventually do phone back, or your call gets answered. Our particular issue is now supposedly a modem issue, and Tangerine have now had me do in excess of 10hrs waiting on phones, troubleshooting, gathering and emailing screen shots, photos... and countless other hoop jumping exercises. How much is your time worth??? Think about this before you sign up, because I have wasted hours and hours, and it has only amounted to frustration (and still no connection). Skip the hassle and bypass these guys. They do not understand the meaning of customer service.Find out how Tangerine Telecom compares to other Internet Service Providers

The connection has always been reliable with no dropouts. As to this day I haven't had any issues with the service, definitely no tech issues. From my first enquiry, installation, usage by sometimes 4 people simultaneously, up to this date, the service has run smoothly. I'm pleased and really can't ask for more.

Internet keeps dropping. Having crap internet for months. Every time I call, it says something like “we are having a large number of calls, please wait…..” there is no customer service.
I have been on Tangerine standard speed plan for the past 5 months. There have only been maybe twice when the connection was a little bit choppy. But most of the time, the internet has been very fast and stable. No issue so far.

My phone, with a Tangerine sim card, was stolen (from a nursing home where it was being used by an aged relative), and a very large bill accrued from international calls, instead of the expected $9.90 monthly bill. I advised Tangerine as soon as I became aware of this. Despite advising Tangerine as soon as I became aware ( the same day I received the invoice from Tangerine by email), lodging a police report, and requesting leniency due to the circumstances, Tangerine insisted I should pay the full amount. After much correspondence and mediation...
Read more by the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman, Tangerine agreed to reduce the bill, but I still had to pay a substantial amount. I am aware of similar circumstances with other Telcos where substantial fees have been waived (for example inadvertent use on international roaming and unauthorised use by children accessing the phone). To add insult to injury, despite paying the agreed amount, over 6 weeks later I have received follow up requesting payment of my account, and am having again to correspond to get the records rectified. From this experience I would never use this company again.I order the service on 6 Jan 2022 and yet can't get it activated by 24 Jan 2022. They told me that they had to arrange a remote activation by nbn, however, nothing happened after waiting for 3 days. Then, they told me that nbn had to arrange onsite activation. It was surprised that they told me that nbn remote activated my service after I wait for another week. Unfortunately, I tested it did not activated. Further surprisingly, I found that the bill had commenced. When I called them for service cancellation and ask for the refund, they just wan...
Read moret me to contact the technical support again and said that they can help me. I suffer enough and cancel it. Besides, their technical support is rude. Every time, you call them, they will not check the history of the previous conversations and ask you to do the same questions again, again and again... If you are going to subscribe their service, good luck!Find out how Tangerine Telecom compares to other Internet Service Providers

I had taken up Tangerine in Sep 2021 for around 6 months. There was a delay in starting the connection as the HFC module (from NBN, not Tangerine) needed to be shipped (which at the time was not readily available like the RATs). After the device reached home, I called up Tangerine, and the connection was active within an hour. The speeds are consistent day and night, I did not face any issues. So, I am very happy with the service by Tangerine.
Rooster crowing in background non stop when trying to resolve speed issues which is nearly on a daily basis with Tangerine.
The whole service is trash from the router supplied by them to the speeds which are never accurate, alongside the non informed tech support team which message you 3 days later on what’s app.
It’s a outright circus at tangerine telecom.
Don’t waste your money for higher plans as speeds never reflect like they should then tangerine end up blaming you for the issues.
Tangerine have a bandwidth issue, this is cause they use the vocus network and are limited to the bandwidth they can purchase, which in return the customers have affected speeds and latency issues.
Stay clear from tangerine nbn.

Tangerine has been great since day one with stable and reliable connection.
However you will struggle to get any one on phone to talk to if you are having any technical issues.
It can be quite frustrating waiting for hours to get someone to help
Thanks

Tangerine are simple and easy to deal with. You get what you sign up for. I haven't had an issues with dropouts or speed. Customer service and tech support are friendly and helpful. I previously used Tangerine in Victoria and was really happy, so it was a no-brainer to sign up again in WA.
When choosing an ISP, you just want the internet to work and not have to think about it. That has been my experience with Tangerine so far. The 50/20 plan has given me good upload speeds for WFH during covid and I haven't had the dropouts that many of my colleagues have with their home internet plans. I don't expect fancy speeds, otherwise I'd have gone with a dearer plan. With Tangerine, 50/20, I get what it says or close to it.
I've never had to contact Customer Service because for me, it just works. That makes me happy.

We moved to Tangerine after Epic did the Hindenburg.
What is there to say: it's a good, stable, snappy FTTN NBN service. I have wholeheartedly recommended to friends and family as well, the latter being on a Fixed Wireless plan which works just as reliably as FTTN, as well as a Tangerine FTTN plan for business.
Value is good as well. There might be SOME advantage for your extra money with the big guys, such as beefier bandwidth, but if all you're after is functional, good value NBN which performs as advertised, Tangerine delivers.
It is very difficult to get anyone on the phone and once you have them, to get what you ask for especially if it's for more than 1 thing. Very misleading on the phone. Asked for speed change and was told it was done in time for the next bill - but no, next bill appears and it's not done. Attempted to do it on self service in the end. Only reason I didn't do that to begin with was I was already on the phone to them about something else.
Beware hidden charges (bounce fee if you forget to switch off direct debit on a hacked or expired card).
My experience with tangerine has been very positive. The connection is reliable and has been fast apart from the evenings where there is some drop in speed, as you would expect. I had some issues with a byo modem and the tech support was quick to get a hold of and provided detailed help that solved my problems without any hassle. For the cost its definitely exceeded my expectations.

Have 2 e-commerce mid scale businesses. Supposedly had everything organised for an office move. 5 days in, no internet and "someone coming" in 10 days.
I wouldn't leave their tech team in charge of a toaster.

Good speeds day and night, great price and decent service. The billing had a couple of issues in the past but were resolved quickly with tech support. I would recommend to family and friends as they have referral bonuses!

Tangerine has been very reliable for the past 24 months we’ve been with them. They do their best to give notice of NBN maintenance and it’s rarely as disruptive as they warn it may be.
Just this week we decided to upgrade our router and had some issues getting it connected. Mario in tech support was a huge help is getting us connected. Very patient and offered all the right info.
Glad I switched from one of the big companies, who became increasingly unhelpful over the years.
I have just been connected with Tangerine NBN and am very happy with the service so far. No dropouts to report and my speeds are consistent with the listed plan (25 down / 10 up) with a 12ms ping (based in Sydney). The activation happened at 11:30am on the scheduled activation day (existing HFC switched from TPG to Tangerine). Minor issues with the modem setup were sorted out quickly over the phone with the customer service team. I have a TP link Archer VR1600v router which works fine once configured with the new Tangerine ISP account settings.

The service was activated within a few hours and I received the modem after 3 business days. The customer service was extremely helpful and reactive, and it was pretty easy to set up once received. The signal is correct, but if I need more later then I will upgrade.

I'd had issues with belong and continuous dropouts for years and a friend recommended me to tangerine.
Was up and running within a week.
After the first week i had dropouts.
Contacted tangerine and they were a pleasure to deal with.
A few days later a technician found a bad terminal thing at the exchange, And ever since I've had fantastic and continuous internet!

This is awesome! Amazing speed and great customer service.
I recently moved into a new house, with the new place having issues setting our new nbn connection. After a long and helpful phone call with tangerine customer support we were confident the modem was set up correctly. Tangerine quickly organised a onsite visit who came and fixed the wiring to the building.
