Relatively smooth Administration process.
Regarding the Administration stage of our build process it has been surprisingly relatively smooth. The customer service from our salesman and administrator has been second to none! Efficient, prompt and great follow up of questions, issues etc. Our salesman was so helpful in assisting us to design our new home, we made many changes to one of the show homes which was done so effortlessly and quickly. His recommendations were excellent and his knowledge was so appreciated. Our administrator was nothing short of awesome, so professional and op...Read more
en to facilitating our every question (and there were many many questions!) then dealing with them so efficiently. Everything was explained fully to us at every point of the process with regular communication so we knew where we were at every step of the way. The final selection area is well equipped and flows well. Our selections consultant was obviously fairly new and inexperienced which slowed this process up a little but we got there. Overall so far we would most certainly recommend Weeks Building Group. September 11th 2022 Update: Refreshingly good building experience It's been 10 months since the handover of our new home, we couldn't be happier with the full experience from initial sales contact, administration management, building supervisor, build process and now the post build service. We are very pleased with the workmanship and build quality we are experiencing. There have only been a couple of minor issues that have been dealt with so efficiently by Weeks Building and their contractors. We had a couple of questions regarding where to go for some extra trade services and our Weeks Building Supervisor and Administration contacts have been extremely helpful. The final cost was exactly as we expected. Very surprised and please with the post construction service we have received.

I would not recommend this builder.
Like some of the other reviews, I never actually got to the ‘build stage’ with Weeks for a multitude of reasons.
The main points I wish to highlight based on my experience are the transparency, communication and timeframes, or lack there of, when it comes to dealing with this company.
I initially signed up with Weeks in December 2017 and it has to be said, that this stage was positive, the sales consultant in St Clair was very friendly and the plan he came up with was great.
That’s where the positive ends. Since December it has been a ...Read more

Excellent Administration Support
We're building our first home with Weeks and our build has just moved from the administration to construction stage. While the admin process took a lot longer than we would have liked, due in large part to issues beyond Weeks control, we couldn't be happier with the support and assistance provided by our administrator Kevin. Kevin kept us well informed at every stage of the administration process, provided honest estimations of timelines, patiently answered our many questions, ensured that our paperwork progressed smoothly, and promptly respond...Read more

Discussed!
After handover I have had nothing but the WORST customer service from Weeks. With me needing to chase people up and causing so much grief and stress.
Make sure you pay attention to every small detail when signing your contract.
As this was my first time building EVER there are things I would pay more attention too. After putting my trust on their word they have now spat everything back into my face costing me over $2000.
After you give them that last bank cheque they do not want to know you at all.
Now that Weeks have told me I "...Read more

Highly not recommended
2 major issues picked up after handover, house still under 3 months maintenance period. However, I can’t see how responsible the builder is
1. Noticed water leak from the roof causing the marks on the ceiling in the living area after the heavy rain. Reported to the builder, the maintenance guy came and said he is 100% guaranteed it’s not water, it was some kind of compound from the ceiling/other work done (not sure what he meant though). The builder only painted it without even go in to the roof and double check and said the marks were proba...Read more
bly there before we moved in and we just didn’t pick it up- how professional they are!!! However, I am 100% sure the marks weren’t there. Anyway, now I got a private inspector in my own cost to check as I don’t believe the builder at all, the private inspector found out it’s definitely some kind of water leak in the ceiling, either from plumbing or roof, as it’s still damped, the reading is more than double than the other part of the ceiling. Now waiting and see when and what the builder’s reply, and when they are actually coming to address the problem. 2. Noticed that there is a little dent/damage in the bath tub, report to the team and got a reply said, it should be picked up at handover, now they are not going to fix it at all. I have explained that it looks like just dirt in the tub, you wouldn’t notice until we did a big clean before we moved in. Since then, they never ever replied to my email. Not sure if anyone else had the similar problem to me, everytime I rang the office, the receptionist would said the maintenance team is unavailable and leave message, emailing them no reply. Really poor maintenance.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

BEWARE!! Horrible builder!!! Stay away - Lost $3000 deposit
I am one of the first few clients (Dec 26 2015) on this review website to start asking questions about the truth in regards to the 'timelines' of the Weeks group.
I have been asked to Delete my comments/questions from this website by their Sales Manager.
Long story short:

7 months late and counting
We started building in August 2016, were due to hand over May 2017 now we are nearly February 2018 and we are still not in our house. Our inspector said he has never seen a house with more defects, i have never experienced a more unprofessional management of personal and project, from the CEO to the customer service team they do not try to rectify issues quickly or appear to care about the customer. When you have to call the office multiple times to get an update on a site that has stood still for months at a time alarm bells start to ring.

Quality home, very proud of end result
We started our building journey with Weeks Building Group last year. We initially choose Weeks Building Group because of their partnership with Supaloc frames and was impressed with their St Clair Display. We signed our quote inAugust and started our new home. Weeks were good because they finalise all your costs before we sign a contract. Our costs did go up by $10,000, $5000 was because of site costs and the rest was because we changed our design. I have built with another builder before and was hit with a large variation for 'unforeseen site ...Read more

Our home has recently been completed and it is excellent, we are lucky and had some really good trades involved in our home, bricklayer and tiler were the best. Sue in the office was really helpful and our supervisor was patient with all my questions. We have a few small items to be fixed in the maintence at 3 months, but very minor. Overall it was a great experience, much better than my other home I built with a different builder.1 comment

Terrible Builder, don't ever go with weeks
We made a mistake of signing with this company. We should have consider the all the bad reviews we have read here in product review and should have listen to 2 other friends that build with them. It is the same experience with other reviews here we are given a lower quote. Upon signing preliminary agreement which we paid for $3000, after that all the hidden fees suddenly arise and the footings shoot up to $33,000 excluding the site fee which is about 2k. we are quoted $30,000 only. Weeks design is 171 sqm and 800 mm deep our new builder is 205 sqm 800 mm deep and yet Weeks price is higher by $11000. We are so happy that we switch builder, the deposit just got evened out because we have a bigger house and better spec house. We have panel lift door and upgrade kitchen and bath and with weeks it is basic spec. So please don't ever go with weeks, check all the review here, there are so many negative reviews and outweighed the positive review.1 comment

Its been more than 12 months we are experiencing how terrible a builder can be. From the very beginning, their sales consultant informed us that it would take 10 months to finish the whole project but from the last year September still now they haven't finish our paper work. not a single person is helpful apart from [name removed], the building contract lady. She is the only person who was really helpful, always hearing our questions and tried to give answers properly and as soon as possible. To finish a little step they took 1-2 months. and the big steps i don't know how long they will take. the selection consultant was new and at the end of our final selection she was really panic and was trying to get rid of us as quickly as possible. she was not efficient but whenever we emailed her she always answered us promptly, that was her good side. I would suggest each and every person in adelaide not to build with them. we are suffering like anything in terms of expending in both ways, paying rents, bills, as well as spending on interest on land, council bills. we are just sick and tired of WEEKS. We are building home for the first time in our life and they are making it soooooo terrible rather than presenting us an experience to cherish for the rest of our lives.1 comment

Very Happy Investor
I am building an investment property in South Australia with the Weeks Building Group while currently posted to NSW with the military. xactly where it was in a new subdivision and what was surrounding it. The home design was a unique plan based on all of the criteria I put forward, I can only say the use of land including taking into consideration things I had not even though of such as a place for my rubbish bins and a courtyard behind my garage to allow for storage of a trailer, I was impressed by the information sent through in relation to the Supaloc Steel Frame and the peace of mind it allows someone who is not going to be living in the home. The process through the company has been so easy Weeks offer selection boards so I could choose everything without having to travel to South Australia and the approval process was extremely quick. The one item I was most concerned about was getting huge variations to the initial amount and my end price ended up being less than I was initially quoted. My house is now under construction and the service continues to impress me, my initial consultant has gone to my house several times and taken photos of the progress for me and he has also put me in touch with a real estate agent to organize a tenant for when the house is completed. I want to thank all of the people at Weeks who have made this so easy for me and a special thanks to Trevor my building consultant and Teegan my administrator. I can not recommend Weeks highly enough and would not hesitate to build through the again in the future.1 comment

Fantastic from word GO!
The whole experience with Weeks from signing the contract till getting the keys was a fantastic experience. At every step of the way we were met with professionalism, site manager being on top of work and timeline. It eventually led to us getting the keys to the new house 3 weeks prior to deadline which had helped us immensely as our rental was due to end in the same week as the official new house handover date.
Quality of work is great. I would like to go out on a limb and thank Alice Wright who was very patient and even offered extra services of comparing another builder's quotation and explained every item very nicely to us which eventually led us to go with Weeks.

Waste of time and money.
We paid $4000 and signed a Preliminary Design Agreement (PDA) with Weeks Building group in September 2016.
The PDA stated that we were paying for the "Preparation of one set of full working drawings" amongst several other things. We told our home designer that we had a total budget of $550 000 for the design and construction of our home. We had many difficulties in getting our home designer to commit to appointments (many scheduled appointments were regularly cancelled at the last minute - usually on the day or the day before) with us to de...Read more
velop the basic concept plans. This went on for several months. We received our first Pricing Schedule document, along with a series of simple concept drawings completed by this point from Weeks on 20/01/2017. The estimated cost for our proposed home (based on the concept plans) was just over $625 000. After complaining the home concept was out of our budget, we were told the cost blow out was due to generous allowances on many areas of the home. On 28/02/2017 we were issued a revised Pricing Schedule (which to no surprise came in at just under $550 000) for the exact same set of concept drawings (where all the generous allowances had been stripped back - including allowances for house footings/foundation works!). For any further work to be completed (including the preparation of the "full working drawings" we had already paid for) we were told we required to sign the provided revised Pricing Schedule and concept drawings. Given the many delays and regular frustrations with various Weeks employees, by early March 2017 we decided to not to proceed (effectively meaning we forfeit the $4000 already paid for services - majority of which were never completed). We can't speak for the quality of build as we obviously never made it that far. For anyone considering building with Weeks, I would recommend you read the other reviews on this site, where it appears others have experienced similar delays and frustrations.2 comments

Absolutely love our new home!
We did a lot of research on all home builders and found that Weeks Group were the most accommodation when it came to our custom designed home. Signing a prelim agreement meant that we weren't locked in and were able to have all expected costs communicated to us upfront before signing the building contract. Weeks Building Group, please tell me why you reply to the positive reviews but you don’t reply to the negative reviews?
Customer service 101 days you respond to ALL feedback.
I’d love to hear how you justify the terrible things people say in their reviews. If you were in the right you would respond to clear up the situation and you would also reach out to the customer and offer to fix the problem. But you do neither.
Anyone reading this DO NOT USE WEEKS GROUP, they just want your money. They’re a cash cow and don’t build for the love of building or a passion for their craft.
There may be positive reviews but given there’s 20 people who have had such a bad experience they gave it 1 star, do you really want to risk being one of those people and have your dream of building your own home turn into a nightmare?

Wow Allie Pallie you must have had a really bad experience with Weeks - you sound so angry. We have been very fortunate we have had a great experience with them. I hope things improve for you.
Also did you speak to them directly?Your review talks about Weeks not responding to negative reviews so I was just wondering if you/they had made contact.
Well I’ve been really patient. I do agree with your review. I keep getting promised things will happen but everyday the same thing. It’s all about money. I’m in the 10th month now and was told the handover will be 5-6 months. I keep giving Weeks the benefit of the doubt but today I’ve had enough. I’ve had 3 supervisors and I can’t understand why they can’t supervise. There are some really professional people working for Weeks but unfortunately they will be judged by their weakest link. I still have issues that need to be sorted out and hopefully they will be addressed soon.

Has anyone built a Weeks home on the Copper Coast. SA?
1 answer
Well i'm not from the Copper Coast.
I know of 2 houses within 10 km of the Weeks Building Group Head Office that are massively behind schedule.
Build estimate for a 2 story is 9-12 months from the time the slab is poured. 1 house is Almost finished after 18 months.
Weeks don't do onsite advertising for a reason i guess :/
As for the Slab costs, you wont know until you fork out the $4k. Our sales guy says he made a very generous allowance for the slab... that blew out by 75% !
