Aus Post don’t care

published

Package is waiting at Melbourne facility for good 18 days. Every one knows Aus post are dealing with lot of deliveries due to COVID 19 BUT fact is in Aus post no one wants to find the solution of the problem because of their laziness. They are making huge profits and still they don’t want to hire more staff to help themselves and customers as so many people are jobless.

Slow yet again.

published

Again Australia Post is late, order express from Melbourne to Perth last week with the due date on Tuesday, it says it's arrived in Perth but is delayed. Tried to ask if I could go and collect it, apparently that's not possible. So then I asked why is it sitting in a warehouse 20mins from me to no certain answer. They are now hiding behind the coronavirus as an excuse but I have recently got a package from Japan delivered in less than 5 days.
Don't want the parcel to get stolen so I have now been sitting at home for 3 days now waiting....
If you or a friend has a similar experience tell them to complain as that's basically the only way this will change.

Unacceptable delay

Been waiting for a parcel for 2 weeks now, stuck at a post office 30 mins from where I live, totally unacceptable even under today's circumstances. At the time of writing, the parcel has not arrived yet. No update from aus post even after filing a complaint.

Could have walked it!

published

As a business mailing Aust Wide and taking complaints on slow mail delivery.
Example Country Vic to Country Vic distance 43 Kms it took 21 days!
Another of our customers Country Vic to South Western Australia 31 days! Australia Post should get credit for the time mail took to get to WA compared to distance from Vic Country to Vic Country.
All facts true as their Tracking Site online.
AND postage stamps increased by 10 cents in January. Last nights news has said now that Aust Post will only be delivering every SECOND day to Metro areas????? Well!

Finally arrived, after 20 days

19 days ago Virgin Australia despatched my JB hi-fi redemption gift cards, they have not arrived. I contacted velocity, they confirmed the cards had been posted. I honestly thought the despatched gift cards were lost/stolen.

I use this service often to send parcels to my daughter who is living and working overseas. The delivery is very timely and my packages always arrive in excellent condition. Pricing for sending is comparable to using a courier service

Slow and slower

published

Aus Post, by definition, has one job. To deliver post!

Slow, lost, tracking that doesn't update. I have multiple parcels as both sender and receiver, that are either taking a ridiculously long time, or deemed "lost in transit".

And not just in the current climate. A year ago, I posted birthday present was posted express from WA to Melbourne. I watched it on tracking go back and forth THREE times between Perth and Melbourne!

Once I contacted Aus Post it was finally delivered to the address in Melbourne, 17 days after posting it Express.

Still waiting for delivery

published

I made an online purchase 5 weeks ago within Australia and still to this day I still haven't received my parcel. For the past 4 weeks it's been sitting in the Whelshpool depot down the road from me and I can't do a single thing about it. So close yet so far. After writing to Aust Post they have advised that it will be another 2 weeks. That's 7 weeks to get a small parcel delivered metro within Australia. And that's if I get then.

Over the post office counter lodged express post parcel PENDING

published

Purchased express post satchel and lodged at the counter of the Post Office 16/4/2020. Tracking states: Pending, no tracking at all on it. Lodged missing parcel enquiry 18/4 and again enquired 21/4...no reply at all from AP. I’m truly hoping they haven’t lost it - extremely sentimental contents. A reply is not really much to expect when engaging such a service,

Lazy operator

I have found my local post person in my district 4563 post code had a letter that needed my signature, they didn't knock on the door, I was home all morning no TV on, no back ground noise I was sitting quietly reading, the person just put a note in my flyscreen & ran, made me go & line up at the post office during the COVID 19 restriction period, would of been able to do the process at my front door safely within the guidelines with clear communication...Poor effort, this was on the 24/3/2020..

Outrageous!

published

Apparently the new way of delivery is to stand at your unlocked front gate at 7:20am and yell as loud as you can "Is anyone home, can you hear me?"
How ridiculous!
Slightly better than last week where I was home with my front door open waiting for my package and yet received a card in the letterbox saying I wasn't home, which like everyone else, forced me out in a small public space to pick it up. I hear everything so they must be going stealth when it comes to the cards because we all know it's easier for them to do half a job.
Don't know if they are being put under so much pressure or whether they are pure lazy.

Awful service

published

2 x parcels missing in the space of a month (April 2020). One communication with AP says it is 'resolved' - how do they make that out when it is still missing and I don't have a refund? Very poor service altogether. Then they have the cheek to say to contact the sender - why should we when it has ben given to AP and a tracking number is given - it is YOUR resposibility Australia Post! Honestly, I am not going to bother using ever again - not worth the loss of money or the stress and the follow-up communications which go round in circles. Either do a good job AP or don't bother :(

What a joke. You lost my item.

published

I tried multiple times contacting you about my item that is now three weeks late. No tracking update since it was lodged three weeks ago. A week after a lodged an inquiry you asked for more info, I replied within a day then a week later you replied saying you can't find it anywhere and declaring it lost. AND you expected me to contact the seller for more info/refund. Its not their fault, its yours.

How you lose a large box that had two medical moon boots I don't know. Let's hope it eventually gets found or you refund me.

I now have to buy another one but I will be getting a courier to deliver it not AP.

How you still operate like this, even before the virus, I don't know.

terrible service, extremely rude delivery driver

published

The delivery driver is extremely rude, the first time he drove in to my garage and parked his van inside! so I lodged a complaint to Australia post. Today, he delivered one of my parcel to my NEIGHBOUR, I'm not sure if he can't read the street number on the parcel or is this a deliberate revenge for my last complaint. My neighbour is an elderly man and he didn't know what is going on, it took us a long time to figure out what happened. when I checked my security camera, everything was clear.

Hi I'm not an Aust Post Employee, just a disgruntled customer like you, I would suggest you make an online complaint like I did and screen shot the tracking to attach with your complaint like I did, good luck hope you receive your parcel eventually.

Hey Moi, having just finished going through this myself, this is what I know: You go to the AP website, then you need to dig around there until you find the delays info. You need to click on a few links, The last time I looked it was in the FAQ, via Covd 19 Domestic post updates. There is an update there from 14 April which says delivery to country and regional areas "may be delayed by up to X days...". Under this, both Darwin and metro Perth are listed, as both cities (except for CBD postcodes I think) are considered as regional and outside the express network for next day guarantee. Also at some point recently, the gaurantee was suspended, although the info is that Express is still the fastest way to send and natuirally still costs the same. I seem to remember that for Darwin it may have read " up to three days...". So whatever the expected time is for Victoria to Darwin via Express, you add 3 days to that. You have to dig even deeper to discover what the expected time fro Express delivery is to Darwin, but as I did find the table giving estimates recently I remember that Darwin from non regional Vic was 1-3 or maybe 1-4 business days. So if AP had your mail on 16/04,it would be expected on say 21 April (4 business days) at the latest in Darwin, then add 3 days for C19 delay and that takes you to 24th April ie tomorrow. That's just according to the unsimple, ambiguous and difficult to access info on the website. There is a more general statement that is more accessible that predicts " a few days delay" whilst other pages say "significant delays". So who knows?! A 'few" usually means three so. My express parcel Sydney to Perth took 14 days.
