Within 3 years of having a new ikea kitchen our cabinets have begun to flake like wheetbix and the sink has chipped around the edges. Warranty replacement was requested and rejected due to "excess water in the kitchen" Last time i checked we never had a flood inside the house and of course we mop but we dont swim in the bloody water. Terrible service avoid buying a kitchen from these clowns full stop

Crappy products. Extremely poor quality. You will fool yourself into believing that you're saving money, while in reality, you are throwing your money away buying their poor-quality products! But people are cheap.

Purchased 2 display cabinets, IKEA’s own instructions were faulty. As a result the shelves collapsed, breaking family heirlooms. IKEA offered me paltry compensation that came with a heavy handed lawyer and gag order.

I bought a mattress pad from Ikea Tempe and returned it due to a toxic smell, which gave me an instant headache. I carefully resealed the bag. Head office confirmed that it should get a refund but at the store I was patronised. I remained polite but they refused a refund and thought it generous to give me a store credit. I do not buy Ikea products usually and cannot use a store credit, I want my money back for an item that smelled like solvent meets mould.

I had 3 items to return, gave the lady the docket. Without spending too much time she said not on docket I need bank statement. Mgr called found 2 items on docket said I couldn’t return 3rd item ($5 basket marked ikea)no docket and scanner code missing.

So I used to frequent IKEA tempe for many years, purchasing many furniture products - my last product purchased was Hemnes Daybed which I am satisfied with and normally when I go to IKEA I like to have a cup of coffee and a bite to eat and utilise the free wi-fi to watch a few videos before I shop...HOWEVER 2022 has not been kind. Ordered kitchen in store - dismantle whole kitchen and wait all morning for new cabinets - organise tradesmen etc - new kitchen does not arrive at all.. no one contacts me .. contact Ikea - they didn’t get it ready in time will be delivered in two days.. tiny flat with whole kitchen contents spread everywhere on the weekend of my birthday.. thanks for nothing Ikea.. ruined my weekend

I ordered furniture in store for a planned weekend delivery. They took my phone number down wrong and the delivery man reportedly tried to ring my intercom which 4 people in the house never heard. Once they took down my correct number i never received any information the following weekend that the delivery person was on his way. Again he reportedly tried to ring the intercom. No attempt was made to call my mobile. Then i find out that they never updated my correct mobile in the first place. Appalling service. Poor communication and customer service.

We had a damaged box delivered (damaged part inside) and I called up immediately to organise a replacement part. [name removed] was supposed to organise a replacement part - after my 40mins hold! She requested I email photos of the damaged part and it would be scheduled for Saturday (today!). When the delivery did not happen today - I called up again (33mins hold), and was told that nothing had been done nor could be found about my replacement part case. [name removed] was helpful in getting this organised for me - this time actually booking it

Assembling their furniture is straight forward, they do give adequate instructions despite popular opinion. If you are looking for affordable home decor and furniture then IKEA shall suffice. I would not recommend IKEA to someone with a high budget and looking for quality furniture or furniture/decor with a good story behind it.

I bought 2 DETOLF Glass-door cabinets online from IKEA, paid $69 shipping which I though was a bit much compared to other well known furniture shops, but I needed the cabinets so still went through with the payment.

They arrived promptly but putting them together was a hassle, the wood top and bottom were not cut properly where the glass slides in so I had to cut the groves larger, then screwing it all together at least half of the screws stripped, and the cheap plastic legs for the cabinet crack.

On the 01Dec I ordered different items on your web-page with an estimated delivery date of the 04Dec. Today is the 11Dec and I still haven't received anything. I do get calls from Toll (who apparently is IKEA's choice of delivery company) They can't really tell me what is the status of the order but every day they politely say that they will update me the following day. I don't really need all the updates I just need to get my items delivered.

I wish I came here to check reviews prior to ordering a lounge from IKEA because like many have written before me my delivery has not shown up.

The ETA for the delivery was 7am-11am (booked 3 weeks prior) and it is currently 12.40pm and have not heard anything from IKEA. Their customer service is non-existent, after waiting on hold for 2 HOURS the line was cut off. It is evident that they don't want people to call as they don't show their contact number on the website, receipt or delivery order.

Goods have not been delivered and customer service number is never answered. On hold for two hours and counting. I was excited to see IKEA now do home delivery, as getting to a store is difficult. I ordered online and delivery could not be scheduled for 5 weeks. A long lead time, but I could wait - worth it not to have to go in to the store.

The most unprofessional delivery service in the world!!! After our experience, I am sure that the warehouse/delivery people working for Ikea operate a scam to drive the customers to insanity, give up on the product, give them the refund (easiest thing!) then write off the product in the system and take it home for themselves.. There is no other way to explain that in this day and age such levels of bad service could exist. Love Ikea products, but the delivery system is an absolute disgrace to the company name!!! On 14 Mayember 2018, I paid IKEA Tempe $99 for an installation service. On 15 Mayember 2018, I cancelled the service as I realised that additional parts were required before the installation could occur. Despite the fact that ordering and payment had to be done at IKEA Tempe, I was advised that that they could not process the cancellation and refund at IKEA Tempe!!! The customer service model that IKEA use is shockingly bad- i sat on hold twice for over 45mins. My second call was finally answered at 48 minutes. My delivery was cancelled as 1 item was out of stock. there was over 40 items to be delivered, the item in question was 1 shelf. I ordered in store at Tempe, a wardrobe insert for our walk-in wardrobe. We purchased Kivak 3 seater couch because it was so comfortable and hugging when we tried it at the store and we decided that this is what we want and what will give us what we were looking for, a nice comfy couch for our TV room. We were also happy to pay an extra $199 for it to be assembled by Ikea preferred contractor. We checked with Ikea customer services staff before we made our final decision whether the new couch will be as comfortable as the one displayed, we were assured that it definitely does match.

IKEA failed to deliver a large item on the agreed day. No calls, no apologies, no customer service whatsoever. Also, having spent 6 hours over the space of 24 hours, waiting for someone to take my call, is disgusting. Duty manager was rude and made no effort whatsoever to provide a fix. He simply stated "well that's the way it is". Cheap simple to assemble furniture is great, but IKEA'S atrocious customer service means that I will NEVER buy anything deom them again and I will recommend to everyone I meet, to not purchase, deal with, or organise anything that IKEA offers. Poor effort IKEA, but I guess "that's just the way it is".

Our tall cabinet came in two boxes, not that the floor staff told us. Having got both boxes home and starting the assembly, we found the box that contained the feet only contained one, not four. We called the customer service number and after 30min gave up, even though they regular remind you to hold on as they will be with you shortly. A thoroughly disappointing experience. Answer your phone as you say you will!

I wish I had read the previous reviews before ordering some toys from IKEA to be delivered. Fortunately two of them were soft toys, but the third toy was a childrens' china picnic set. On unpacking it I felt the edges as I removed each item and found them to be sharp - on inspection I found that they were sharp because various items were significantly chipped - one little beaker also had a crack the length of it, beginning at the point of the chip. Terrible customer service and delivery service.

Purchased a rug for over $300. Item never arrived on the delivery date.

Called customer support and after 40 minutes of waiting, I was told the delivery dates are “estimated arrival dates” and my rug will be delivered soon.

Fast forward to 2 weeks later. No delivery, no rug, still waiting on the phone for customer support AND I’m short $300 in my bank account.

If you don’t want to give me the rug I bought then give me the money back??!!

According to the Duty officer she has a Manager but the Managers at Ikea don't deal with Customer complaints! ???
So after nearly an hour on the phone with this Duty Officer she decides to hang up on me because I wanted my matter escalated directly by her to a Manager but she wanted me to go through the whole process AGAIN and log it online.

Shocking service. I ordered on 15.8.18 said it was coming 18.8.18 never turned up, on the phone to them this morning.

Order did not arrive on time spent an hour on hold on the phone. Rescheduled for another day, no delivery again an hour on hold with an endless message saying they will be with us shortly. Third time history repeated itself now on hold to try and get our money back been an hour so far - but your furniture elsewhere if actuallly want to have furniture.

Promised to deliver exhange item but never arrive. It wasted my time waiting for delivery that many times did not full fill the promised. Just to call ikea takes 2 hrs.

Purchased a lovely bed, happy to assemble and then it broke after 3 weeks. Organised a replacement, so all good and then a no show from the drivers, no call and waited 14 hours for nothing. Meanwhile sleeping on the floor in winter . Booked in again on another day that you need to take off work and who would of thought a no show, no call and another 14 hours of waiting.They now want me to book it in again. I cant take time off and was offered a lousy $50 giftcard for the inconvenience they caused. Problem not resolved and i will have to assemble the bed again myself, which we all know sucks. I am in the process of getting an IKEA kitchen. I have completed payment and am awaiting delivery.
What I didn't realise was that after sales customer service is extremely poor.
It took 3.5 hours last Saturday just to place the order (with an 8am appt). There were items out of stock that I had to go back for and when I got home I saw that their Stone measurements were wrong.

We renovated our house late 2016. My husband decided we’d save some money getting an Ikea kitchen. After multiple trips to Ikea I got a design. I did online purchased on Saturday and chose to be delivered on Sunday at any time (7am - 9pm). IKEA called me at 2pm on Sunday saying they cannot deliver today for some stupid reasons.
Ok, I asked the operator to deliver after 6:30 pm on Monday as they can deliver up to 9 pm.
The operator said to me that I only can pick certain time range which is 5pm-9pm and I need to be home during the time, there is no guarantee that they will come after 6:30. I won't be home from 7am to 6:30pm during the week that is why I chose to be delivered on week
