Great Service
I moved into a property at Jackson Green in Clayton South. Like all new properties, not everything is done perfectly which can be quite stressful as the house owner. Excellent experience from start to finish
Damir from the Mount Duneed sales office, Lisa from the Altona headquarters and Ashleigh, our site foreman made our entire build process so seamless and easy, from start to finish.
Yes we had to make minor adjustments here and there but it took an email to rectify and then on again with the build.
All three staff members were very clear in what was required/involved, easy to communicate with and super quick in their responses to our queries that we have really enjoyed the entire build process.
We have moved into our new home and found a few minor issues where tradesman were back out to resolve within a week of notifying our foreman/or Burbank directly.

Significant deficiencies and unconscionable conduct
Burbank’s support is very limited once you pay your deposit, the Builder provides misleading information and applies unreasonable and unfair price increases.

Burbank was unable to answer all of our questions and concerns with regards to the Building Contract such as cost escalating clauses, ambiguous conditions and errors and did not answer any questions relating to Special Conditions with the explanation that Burbank’s legal department does not allow any changes (not even correcting errors in the contract). We had to repeatedly ask to answer also the remaining questions in order us to understand the Contract and fix the errors in the Contract. Unfortunately, without any luck. After about five months since our original request and our repeated written reminders, we realised that Burbank has no interest to provide us with the answers and decided to close our file. If Burbank does not answer all of your questions regarding the Building Contract before signing it, what support can you expect once the Contract has been signed? In addition, we were told that if we choose our own Building surveyor we would loose the 15 year structural warranty which was of course not true but an example of an unconscionable conduct. Furthermore, Burbank offered a price freeze for 12 months since paying the deposit. However, if you don’t start building within 12 months from paying the deposit you will be asked to pay $3000/month which includes also the 12 months freeze period. This is significantly higher than any inflation rate or the price new customers are asked to pay. This is a rip off scheme and clearly shows how much Burbank values its customers once they pay the deposit. Unfortunately, in our case Burbank was not willing to compromise even though the delays were out of our control due to delays in the land release. It is extremely disappointing that once you pay the deposit, Burbank is not providing a full support to its customers for a product in excess of $300,000. Moreover, Burbank is using untrue statements to influence your decisions and applies unfair and unreasonable price increase.1 comment

This is great and terrible service between colour and electrical.
The colour section was terrible service, it's meant she look like does not want to welcome customer. She just want to rush us to collect and sign the paper work. I ask to sign the paper work tomorrow with electric she said No....., u have to sign today. We need time to speed our money in cridit corretly between color and electrical. I'm welcome to receive your explain. Why i can't sign colour and electrical at the same day. She make us hard to make decision. I want to ask, Are u gonna build the house tomorrow? Positive hope for the new home journey
Rajneel and I attended the final cost meeting with Molly at Burbank. We were pleased with the way the cost got finalised and Molly was very efficient and approachable in her work. In this whole process of house purchase, it was really helpful of her to fit in extra rooms in the existing design. We were glad it worked out smoothly. Therefore experienced lovely atmosphere at this stage so far.

Worst builder to deal with
I got my house handed over to me in March 2022. They've taken 1 year to complete my house single story during construction no coordination with me and they changed 3 supervisor. My kitchen benchtop is 50 mm higher than in plan. Main entry door was crooked they taken six month (changed door three time) to fix it still not 100%. Horrible experience - life's worst decision to select Burbank
Signed up with Burbank in Nov 2016 and still waiting for handover. Cunstruction started in Apr 2017 and after 22 months still issues with build. No coordination between the teams at all. Tried to escalate the issues many time but always gets the folse commitments from Burbank. Now Finally i have escalated the issues to dbdrv. Because of these delays i have to spend around $30000 interest to the bank unnessary. Hope one day i will get my house.

Awesome and smooth process
I would like to take this chance to thank Chantelle and Ana, who's in the colour selection studio, for making the whole process so easy. They both are very helpful when it comes to providing suggestion to your new home and giving you many options to play with, making sure you get the design you like. Worst Experience - Will not recommend Burbank to anyone
We are building our first home with Burbank. After the Sales, our worst experience with Burbank started. From the point of being allocated an unprofessional, irresponsive and inexperienced Building Coordinator, [name removed], to the Colour Consultant, [name removed], at the Edge Studio who had no knowledge of interior finishes and was very pushy, hasty and rushed us to finalize the colour appointment. Our concerns and issues are not addressed and after multiple requests to get in touch with the Project Manager or Construction Manager on the job, no one has contacted us. We were told by [name removed] and [name removed] that he is the one running the project so there is no need for the Project Manager to be on site for a walk through . After seeing the quality of poor workmanship, non compliances on our build, unprofessional attitude and zero customer service we would never recommend Burbank to anyone and advise people to stay away from Burbank. No support handover 3 month and 18 months inspection
No support after handover,three month inspection and 18 month inspection is a joke.
Their inspectors are waste of time and ignore the problems mention in the inspection and won’t take any actions.
I have written emails to Maintainance team informed them about the issues Iam facing but no response.
So many brick work cracks around my home and they saying they will only fill cracks with the finger,and not actually filling new mortor to join the bricks cracks.
I really had enough,lucky I came to know how they work,I was about to sign the contract for my second house,now Iam looking for another builder..

Great to worst
It was a stressful build and now from Warranties its getting even worse. Our 3 months inspection is over about 6 months ago and Burbank is still looking at resolving some of the open items with blatant disregard to others. We feel cheated with some items that were observed prior to the settlement and our supervisor committing these were fixed only to find out that they were just patched up for the purposes of us signing the house over!!!

We build our first home with Burbank. We never ever had our house inspection. They mentioned to us when they gave us key last year in November that we will receive a call for out 3 month inspection. From the start Nagma our new home consultant was very helpful with many suggestions and tips, nothing was too much trouble for Nagma and she made our decisions easy. Also some discontinued items were not replaced such as some stone benchtop options and the underbench oven we had our heart set on became discontinued as well. They are pretty good but after handover I have seen not much support when you need it.like I have few issues after handover but seems no body cares.there inspectors won’t approve your minor issues by giving some points which we don’t even know about.
They will just make some reason by saying you’re contract doesn’t say this or that..
Very hard to deal,me personally I was thinking to build my investment property with burbank after building my first home with them,but the way they are going after handover I now feel that I should be looking for another builder.

Re: Job 13923 in Point Cook.
Our house took 18 months to compete with 4 site supervisors and issue after issue after issue.
There are pending defects that need to be rectified as per PCI during handover and the site supervisor is not showing much interest. I asked the leftover hard rubbish to be removed which was simply dumped on the opposite vacant block so I had to have it removed at my own expense because the don’t want neighbours to think that we are illegally dumping rubbish.
Could you please assist us in rectifying pending defects so it does not affect our review to be left soon on this website? Thanks

Thanks for the prompt reply. The defects are not part of the maintenance but they are items the PCI and during handover they are also noted on the PCI sheet and the site supervisor was suppose to fix them. Warranty team will knock it back and will advise me to follow up with the site supervisor. This is our second house with Burbank and I am aware of the processes. Could you please follow up with the constructions manager? We are really frustrated coz we are just stuffed around by Burbank and there is no one who is helping us. We waited 18 months for the house and we are still chasing Burbank to fix the defects, it is disappointing.
