Disappointed and Frustrated
Like many other reviewers I am very disappointed with this company. Have been a customer for many years and never made a claim but they have certainly lost my business. Under the current circumstances I would have thought they would be considerate of people's positions, as are many other travel insurers, airlines. hotels, etc. I did not want a refund - just a "change of date" on the policy as my cruise was cancelled. But no go! $850 they have got for nothing!

No refund on cancellation of overseas trip due to covid-19
After taking out a policy with Insure and go, after reading choice reviews, I am very disappointed that we cannot get a transferral to April next year, for our South America trip. Cosmos and Latham Airlines have been great but to hear that our insurance cannot be transferred leaves me extremely frustrated. Never again will I insure with your company.

We intend going to South America in April-May next year. Dates of the Cosmos tour are not finalised yet. I requested our cover be held over but was told there would be no refund or transfer.

why you would not use Insure and Go
very poor response from Ins &Go having had two policies for upcoming trips cancelled due to cv19 we have been told there is no refund or credit. from insure and go. they have provided no insurance whilst travel and taken our money.! consumers affairs needs to be contacted. this is not right.
all we wanted was a deferment on travel.
is this fraudulent behaviour.

Pre-Existing medical covered with a cost
Tried to organise online but the final quote was too high to pay. Phoned Insure&Go who helped me get it down by offering an extra discount and increasing the excess .

Good value cover

Hassle free insurance

Yes very good value. I have some pre existing conditions which were covered at no extra cost. Easy to navigate website lots of choice in what you might need fir your holiday.

The go travel insurance with no worries
The policy offered by yourselves was sufficient for what we needed to have covered. My partner had a medical assessment done online, felt maybe this could of been followed up with phone call. Haven't used policy yet, as haven't travelled yet. Heard about this insurer through my daughter, again great value, will consider using again.

Excellent product

where's my discount
I felt that the silver level cruise cover more than adequately covered our needs and was good value however the day after I paid for this insurance cover I get an email stating a discount code if I buy insurance with insure & go.... a little late... and the timing of the very next day was disappointing. But overall I thought the process was easy to follow but my holiday is still some time away so not sure why this survey was sent now instead of after my cover ends as I can not even say if i do or do not need to claim....hopefully not

purchasing a policy. So the discount was not sent to you because you purchased a policy, but I'm sorry that the timing wasn't ideal for you. In terms of reviewing before you need to claim, I understand your point. We do also ask for feedback if you need to claim, but we also like to get feedback on the buying process too. This is because buying a policy is not easy for everyone, and some people struggle with aspects of the application process. My policy was purchased 19/2/20. My query is did Insureandgo know when i purchased this worthless policy that due to the pandemic they would not be liable for any claims. In other words they took my money for jam. As far as I am aware the pandemic was declared 31/1/20. I feel that should have been informed at purchase. My cruise dates were from 22/5/20 to 5/6/20. Hi Keith, It's more of, if you did travel and caught the virus that you are not covered. But our dispute is that it doesn't matter when you purchased the policy you haven't traveled yet, We all should be getting a refund. I have read that other travel insurance companies are refunding. As it is not our fault that all travel has been shut down. InsureandGo stand to make thousands of dollars if they do not give everyone back there money. I have put in a formal complaint to the ombudsman now, not just for me but for everyone. I hope you and others can do the same, the more complaints the better chance on getting a refund.

If it's good enough for companies like Woolworths Insurance to refund the policies then it should be the same for all major companies. I'm seeking clarification from them on my 2 policies purchased for travel this year then I will too go the the ombudsman. In a spirit of goodwill from them I'd even be happy with credit for my future travel.
