Perfect little workshop

Very poor all round service
I recently visited the Gepps Cross store to order some custom made flashings. Left the order and my details with the salesman who informed me someone would call me with the costs within 24hrs. Heard nothing for 3 days so I called back only to told, oh I was just about to call you, yeah right. Even though they were a lot more expensive than I expected, I proceeded with the order and paid for them over the phone. The salesman said they would be ready for pick up in 5 days. h they had taken my money. I was furious. I called the complaints department who told me they would look straight into it and call me back. No one called back. I called back the next day to be told, oh our mistake the order was accidentally cancelled but we have fixed the problem and it will be fast tracked and ready in 2 days. The salesman said because we stuffed you around so much we will deliver to site free. I accepted his offer. They arrived 3 days later not 2 and they were made wrong. Not once did I receive call back phone calls. I had to chase them every time if I wanted answers. Worst experience ever I will never use Stratco again.2 comments

Cool Dek verandah and decking
Firstly like to thank Paul Burrowes for his organising and informing me of the design, recommended building surveyor, tips for construction and abreast of the order. Thank you to Steve the delivery man who helped me get the items in to my garage and off the street. Now I just have to put it together.

The best workbench and storage system
Just recently purchased a garage workbench and storage system was a little apprehensive at first because if the cost but now I’m completely satisfied.
The quality and strength of the steel is great. It’s so nice to have something which is decent and well made and it was easy to assemble.

To expensive!
Install costs are too expensive and not quoted prior to purchasing your product so now I’m stuck with a pack of materials without an installer, this should have been transparent prior to purchasing

Very poor quality materials used for sheds and bad customer service
Recently I had a very bad experience with a Stratco shed and with the Stratco product department.
The shed roof got very rusted after only 7-8 months from the purchase and installation. I live more than 10km from the beach and the shed isn’t under any trees.
When I approached the store about this issue, they referred the case to the product department. I requested only replacement of a couple of roof sheets.
Here is their response:
“The marks are rust spots from the swarf left on the roof when tek screwing the capping’s and sheets on. This is not covered by the warranty as this should have been cleaned off the roof during the installation process.”

Hi Annabelle, we have already discussed it further in another thread on Stratco fb page. You said you had talked to the product department but nothing was resolved. My warranty claim was just rejected again.. Bad bad experience

Great Patio for new boat
We were looking a new patio to cover our boat, the staff at stratco canningvale listened to our requirements to achieve the height and size.
The colour was picked to match our house colours.
Delivery was exactly as arranged and on time.
We had to return to the shop for installation plans but that allowed us to organise some storm drainage.
The install was simple just required some extra ladders to use as stands for the frame.
It looks fantastic and we are very happy with the outcome.

Washing line
We had good service, but the young man that served us needs more training on the different sizes of bolts!
We got all the way home down south, as we called into Mt Barker on our way home from Mannum, to find that he had given us the wrong size bolts to put the line on the wall.
It was frustrating, but easily fixed the next day.

Appalling service and a "custom" shed...yeah, right!
We enquired about a custom made garden shed and subsequently ordered and paid for one on the Saturday of the October long weekend last year. So I rang the store first thing on a Thursday morning and spoke to Ash. She said she'd follow up and get back to me. The day came and went, no return call. The next morning i tried to call the store, no answer. After several attempts I was answered by Heather in the Sydney office. I told her what i was following up and still waiting on a call back, she offered to leave a message for the store to call me back to which I declined. I continued to try and contact the store myself with no success. After lunch I drove to the store (which was completely empty so not sure why the phone wasn't answered?!) and enquired in person and said I was still waiting on a call back. Ash served me, said she was still waiting to hear back. I asked how long will it take, she said "I don't know". Frustrated, I left. I went home and within 2 hours I received a call from Heather. She had quite a tone towards me and proceeded to tell me that the delay is our fault because my husband changed the size of the shed and it was still another 3-4 weeks away. Still frustrated and more so after her comments, I firmly set the facts straight with her that it was in fact one of her team that called us to say they couldn't do the shed in the size we ordered - not us. When i asked why this has now become our problem, she still tried to tell me again that my husband was the one who rang and changed the order. I was quite annoyed by this point and it clicked that the Heather I was speaking to was the same one that answered the phone earlier that morning! I told her I wasn't impressed, she really didn't care and the call ended. One request we did make with Ash when we ordered was if we could not have the shed delivered on a Wednesday (both at work that day) as we didn't want it left out in the front yard for various reasons. When we finally had an email from Ash, of course delivery was on a Wednesday, 4th Dec. - just over 8 weeks after we placed our initial order (quite a bit different from the 2 weeks we were told initially!). We were not game to call and try to change it, didn't want any further delays! I had to take a day off work and wait for the delivery. I must say that delivery guy was such a pleasure to deal with and placed everything exactly where we wanted it with care. We started building the shed the weekend after Christmas, got too hot of a weekend to do it so we have only just finished it today! The shed itself is ok. Many parts of the framing were warped but again, we didn't want to deal with the local store and so have just made it "work". One star is for the delivery guy, the other star is because the shed turned up. Sorry Stratco, but something that should've been a pretty straight forward transaction ended up a headache for us. And we won't be dealing with your Thornton store again.1 comment

Good customer service from the front
On a few visits we have been met with friendly people at the front counter to assist with enquiries about the catalogue items and about items such as tanks, pumps and storage. Prefer electronic than paper vouchers as you cannot lose them then, although they have them on the computer system. Would be good to have them electronic against your saver account. Products have been good and fit the purpose.

Fantastic service from start to finish
Shed is perfect ! From the start at purchase Ben gave me the best price, and followed up to make sure I was happy with all I had decided on. I had organised to have the shed installed by Stratco’s installers after Xmas.
The job was processed thru the factory on time and I received the shed on time and installers all arrived on stated dates, and was informed all the way through the process thanks Nathan!

Tomato Surprise
Always fantastic when you not only get a bargain but it pays off with Fruit.
Got some reduced Tomato Seedlings and they are nice and large now with
developing tomatoes. I would recommend Gepps Cross Store, love the Garden Centre.
