I have been trying to organise balcony works with warranty & North construction manager. I was informed that works will start yesterday 6/2. The carpenter was to come & remove brick sill but never showed up. Tried calling construction manager couple of times but to no avail. Guys for waterproofing came today but they couldn'the attend to balcony. Could someone respond to when the works will commence as Burbank is wasting my precious time?

Hi Raj, Im currently building with Burbank and I would suggest if you are going to build with Burbank please review. Think twice. Burbank standard contract is 330 days and they will make every effort to take that long. Once contract signed they disown their sales person and will openly say they lie or exaggerate.

Raj, we built a double storey with Burbank about that size. Ours took approximately 9.5 months which would have taken longer than that because we had an unprofessional and incompetent site supervisor. Our contract had 330 days from slab completion. Rethink before building a double storey with Burbank.

I am currently in the process of finalising our home contract. Before we commit to the proposal plan, could you please direct us to real photos of the Tavera facade so that we may envision what our home may look like (colours, roof type, etc). The images on the Burbank website are obviously merely a digital view of what it may look like and my partner and I would like to see actual Tavera homes. TIA.

Congratulations on almost finalising your new home contract with Burbank- a very exciting time ahead.

Unfortunately, we do not have the Tavera layout on display in QLD at the moment, however if you would like to e-mail [email protected] we would be more than happy to send you Tavera 176 and Tavera 185 full layout brochure from the Eclipse Collection which includes many different facades that you are able to choose from.

Once you have decided on a façade we will be able to direct you to a display home to visualise what the outside of your new home will look like.

We are building with Burbank. Initially it was for investment purpose but our circumstances changed, now we will move in it but we are faced with an issue that requires Burbank’s understanding.
We have dog that struggles to walk, even get on, tiles and shiny surfaces. CRO advised that it is not possible
We have put in deposit for another house with Burbank to start late next year and hopefully Burbank will consider this when making a decision. I am aware it is late but we are not even at site yet. Could we please speak with someone in management.?

I have copied [email protected] in an email I sent to senior CRO this morning after out no where and without any introduction she emailed me stating no change and with management's details. We may just cancel the contract and also cancel the sales deposit for the he second house. This is very stressful when we get no empathy or understanding from Burbank.

Our house was completed back in September 2015. We have just recently discovered there was no drainage pipe installed under the shower base and the dirty water has been draining onto the concrete and out of the bricks. How did this happen and how did you manage to get a COF? We have had do apology and it seems like it is not on you asap list to fix.

We are building with Burbank and our work is on hold due to unavailability of tiles. The building phase started on the 30th of June and the decision to order tiles was made on cup eve with only few hours given to us to make decision to choose another tiles so that the tiler can start the job on the following Thursday. All the colours of tiles offered to us are darker colours which will not match with the interior. My question is being such a renown builder why isn't their a range of white / off white tiles or if not how come the company doesn't know when the tiles will be delivered? This is our second home and we never had any issues as such with our first builder. Our Mortar colour also is not what we paid for and has been horribly done.

We had our maintenance inspection about 3 weeks ago. We have cracked grout in both of our showers. This was deemed urgent on inspection day and inspector advised that Burbank would get a trades person the following week to fix the shower bases. I have made several contacts to burbank's warranty enquiring when the showers will be fixed but don't seem to get a timeline of the urgency. It is getting way out of hand as we cannot use both showers. How soon can our showers be fixed?

Hi there,
we and one of our friend chose to build home with Burbank.We spoke to a Burbank official about our doubts prior to sign building contract.. Meeting went well. At that time time Burbank official verbally said that they will provide Blind, fly screens, 3 coat paint, Range hood but when we receive our contract there was nothing mentioned about these things.. when my friend contact sales team in Sydney about it, then they agreed to provide 3 coat paint and fly-screens only to windows but not doors..they denied the blinds as the sales person on the phone said they don't provide blinds.. I was just surprised to hear that..why the burbank official verbally said that blinds are included??
Our contract will be ready next week..i am just worried after hearing my friend's experience..

I'm building with Burbank and from past 4 weeks work is at stand still. I have been given reason that they are waiting for windows (ordinary windows) delivery from A&L. 4 weeks wait dosen't sound right. Building Site supervisor doesn't know when he'll get delivery of windows. I'm quite upset with this delay and have been told shut up and just wait. anyone else affected by this delay?

Similar like my experience. My site was neglected for almost 2 months!. They were waiting for 3 or 4 remaining ordinary windows as well. It took more than a month since the other windows were installed. Those remaining windows look quite common from certain big supplier. I am building standard home without any modification but the site supervisor told me that it needed to be measured per my house. Looked weird to me as the dimension look common and I needed to wait for almost a month didn't not sound right and puzzled me the most why they didn't order the whole windows at the same time. I also needed to wait for the bricks, scaffolding, roof tiles and so on. Not sure why they didnt order long before the site started. Well this kind of thing happen with Burbank.

In my case, it was an issue with the door - It was opening the other way. We have pointed this error out during Lock-Up stage because the issue was clearly visible from the outside view; which they managed to fix after PCI by supplying a different model door (not A&L) - because of the difference in door model, the tiles had gaps that needed to be rectified. This new door did not have the fly screen installed as per the contract which we pointed out during PCI which is yet to be fixed - It's been six months since settlement...

I have a friend living in the west having similar issue. There was a hole in the roof and due to constant rain caused the ceiling became mouldy. They thought it was due to paint issue but eventually it collapsed under heavy rain. It got fixed after that but things became messy.

Sorry to hear about your friend's experience burbankbad100. I thought the source of leak would be identified in the early stages by doing a water test (using a hose) but it hasn't happened as of yet, hence the problem continues. It is work in progress after several patch ups.

@Burbank team, a balcony should not be restored to it's intended glory as you state. Burbank constructed a defective product in the first place which shouldn't have happened. VBA's guide to standards and tolerances state a waterproofed balcony that leaks is defective. So as owners we do have a right to have it constructed to high standards and within a reasonable time period.

I am building with Burbank, mostly happy so far with the process, but the colour selection and modifications through the estimators has made me very unhappy as I feel no explanations or logic to the additional costs, plucked from the air. Recent example, I have chosen a wall colour. Only to now find out that the doors, skirting and frames are going to be same colour in gloss. I have requested white, simple in my mind don't add the colour dye to the gloss pots of paint for the wood! Nope it is going to cost approx extra $2000 to do this? Am I wrong to think this should not be an additional cost?

Mine was quite fast. Too fast I guessed. I think it depends on whether your land is ready etc. Anyway, after having various issues with the built I would not recommend building with them. Everytime I talk to people building with Burbank, they always have a lot of complaints about them. Maybe check with your neighbours and friends who built with them and see how they went.

Hi we have chosen Burbank to build a modified Norfolk 307. Didn't want to visit the forums as disgruntled peoples experiences can skew things. We have paid $4,000 in deposits is this normal and if we pull out what is due back?

We had a torrid time at the colour section, personally insulted by the staff member. This has been raised with the team but I fear ignored to a lesser extent.

Prices for upgrades plucked from the sky. several attempts to explain pricing at each new proposal as some things are added or taken away would confuse Archimedes.

A little fed up to be honest and not sure if I should trust them further.

Any Brisbane experiences out there with these guys?

I think if they've paid the costs which the $4k is used towards you wouldn't be due anything back but could be wrong. Completely normal to pay them upfront if you want them to do things as why should the foot the bill if people pull out kind of thing.. the colour lady we had contracted to Burbank I believe so have you tried talking to Burbank directly about that issue? We honesty can't fault the people we dealt with!!

I am considering Burbank along with other competitor. Very much confused with the experiences their customers had. Builders pay some incentives to their clients to get a good review as such cannot totally go with good reviews. But, bad reviews are freaking me out as I do not want to be the one of them. Hi Ramesh, I can confirm that I was not paid for my comments but was happy to provide it to let other buyers know that the process and price that Burbank offers is very good and that we are very happy with the result. Our home is beautiful and hence our review title was "So Excited". There will always be minor little teething problems or slight defects with all builders but they are fixed quickly by Burbank. I have also heard some horror stories about some builders that after 3 months walls are cracking and defects are much larger and not fixed in a timely manner (or at all) but one of the main factors we went with Burbank is they back their workmanship and building integrity by offering a 30 year structural guarantee. Hi Ramesh, I have terrible experience building with Burbank. Sometimes speechless such as install carpet than repaint.brick work then roof. Permanent key while the house is being built. Delays and delays even my neighbour complain about them! My neighbour who has settled but still 6 months they have not fixed his issues. Never2 do handover if they have not fixed all the issues. Even during construction is difficult not to mention after handover!
If you want to have peace of mind, go with better builder. I am totally disappointed with them. As I said sometimes speechless. Something that cant go wrong can go wrong with them.
