NBN 100/40 (Turbo Plus)Signed up to move the existing service to FLIP. All seemed rather smooth but it took 1.5 days for the transfer to complete. In the first 6hrs we had 36 drop outs and although we were being told it was 90MBPS connection it was more like about 6. Rang and asked for help / clarification but was told to just restart my modem and call back if I still had problems. Called back and was told NBN Co would have to look in to it.
Signed up to another provider and with 2 hrs I was up and running and getting the full 90Mbps. Hasn't dropped connect since first sign on.
Flip is certainly not a reliable service.
Bad service, only got speeds paid for after threatening to go to the ombudsman, unreliable tech support
NBN 100/40 (Turbo Plus)We decided to give Flip a try as they were offering what looked like an excellent deal, and were Aussie owned with a locally based help desk.
It took TWO WEEKS for them to listen when I told them the house we were moving in to hadn't been connected to the NBN and we needed a tech out. Meanwhile, I got a different story every time I called them about why that wasn't right, why it wasn't working, etc.
Eventually we did get connected. We then had months (backed up with screenshots) of inadequate speeds. We were averaging 20-33Mb download and 15-

Solid, No Frills NBN Provider
NBN 100/40 (Turbo Plus)Setup time from sign-up to activation was roughly 14 hours, which was decent. The activation progress was able to be followed from the website and phone app, which was nice. I am getting fast internet with no glitches so far for the past 2 weeks now. The price is great - 100Mbps for under $80 ($69 for the first 6 months). My only gripe was that the NTU port that my old NBN ISP was connected to got swapped to a different port, which didn't happen with previous NBN providers - no biggie. I was able to configure my BYO router with little effort and without need to contact help desk, which was another time saver. Thanks Fl!p!

NBN 100/40 (Turbo Plus)This seems to be comparable with previous server (Telstra) at much less cost. There has been no noticeable reduction with streaming services and browsing. There was a problem with getting connected, but tech service helped to fix it without any hassles.

Crap Service
NBN 100/40 (Turbo Plus)Have had connectivity issues while working from home - constant drop outs throughout the day. Preemptively replaced Ethernet cable and restarted both the router and nbn box which would stabilise issue for 2-3 hours per day. Contacted support after 3 days or issues, advised I’d receive a call back that day - no call. Called the next day and assured I’d be called back that day - no call. Called on the third day and cancelled my service! Technical support is in need of improvement!

NBN 100/40 (Turbo Plus)Been with Flip for 3 years and it goes through stages and has been very bad of late! Constant dropouts while in zoom! Custom service never returns my emails! They keep promising the world! I understand this maybe wires from the node however I’m still paying and the keep promising! Time to change

NBN 100/40 (Turbo Plus)Found out the process of signing up was so simple and easy. Unfortunately due to high exit fees from my current provider, I had to opt out but as soon as my current contract ends, will be jumping back with them. Customer service was excellent.

NBN 100/40 (Turbo Plus)Usually like giving the underdog a chance but this is just a warning if you're considering FLIP Internet and my experience with them. In the middle of a work day we were swapped over to them after registering the previous day. So far so good, speedy service with brining a customer over at least.
Internet went down which I was expecting as they probably use PPPoE instead of auto like my previous ISP. So no big deal yeah, plug in username and password into router and should be all up and running right?

... Read moretime after the switch happened instead of before - so decent bit of downtime instead of an instant switch like my previous switches. So plugged in those details but still no internet. Called them and the support people said it's an authentication issue and said someone a tech would call back... No one did. So I called again at 4pm to check on the status and why there was no follow up call. They said they don't know what the issue is after running through the config of my router from Auto to PPPoE. They said it's active (even though the FLIP phone app said it was inactive) and that someone would call soon to help.. Someone did actually call, but they just wanted to confirm the username and password for the PPOE settings and then to power cycle everything.. Still no Internet.. Then the tech said I'm going to try something on my end and give you a call back... He did not call back. I tried calling again as I really needed to finish off a deployment for my work and really needed the internet back. the support person on call said that have you tried turning everything off and on again, so we did that again.. still no internet. Apparently they didn't have our authentication setup and we're trying to figure it out. So she said we'll get a tech to call you... No one called.Hi Kraig,

NBN 100/40 (Turbo Plus)I needed to call for tech support as I noticed the porting had started but I had no email or sms with the details. The technician answered in less than 2 mins and was easy to understand, very knowledgeable and had me connected in a few mins!
Very satisfied!
