Daily drop outs of more than five minutes exceeding 20 times per day
Hi. I have contacted Belong many times, nice people that seem to copy and paste their replies. I now need a reliable service as I have grand children that also need a constant connection including myself, additionally for security cameras that rely on wifi. It now appears that your company is unable to supply a constant supply of internet. Does anyone have suggestions on who to us as a supplier? is nice and comforting who is responsible for supply? It is impossible to get a straight answer when two organisations seem to say it's the other "person". I do also blame NBN for the whole network problem (the government of the time) for giving us as it appears a third world internet.2 comments

cent complaint 6th May outlining the complaint Reference #02848690 with no response. The drop outs are more frequent now. The NBN four lights are showing on all but three occasions, the other problems are the red light flashing on Belong router and or static red. I guess from this showing my frustration what my next position will be! Additionally I have tried using a Lynskys 3200 router am am still getting the same result. I need a reliable internet (belong) and I consider this to not be of merchantable quality.

Worst customer service
Our nbn lost connection on saturday and we tried to contact Belong for technical assistance. Was ok until you need their help. They don't have a centre you can call....you have to lodge a request online and they'll get back to you....in a few days. Its now been 5 days without them diagnosing the issue. Still waiting on what im certain will require an NBN tech appointment to resolve. They said they would call at 230pm but called at 5pm when wife has to cook for children...then said we'll call in the morning and surprise surprise they haven't....now mid afternoon. I would strongly recommend you pay an extra $10-15 per month with a provider that has some customer service. Avoid this ISP at all costs!

Waste of time and money
The connection has been horrendous. The only thing worse than the actual connection is the customer service. Definitely do not recommend using Belong as a service provider. They also lied directly about the fact of obtaining the 100Mbps service at our address.
We will never recommend Belong to anyone and would advise them to avoid at all costs. Among the reasons for this review are because of the way the so called customer service teams horrendous handling of complaints and drop outs.

are by credit card or PayPal, neither of which can be 100% trusted, especially when they deduct the amount without being willing to negotiate other options. Also they require payment in advance before the service even works, therefore locking you in. Another lie they tell is that you are free to leave at any point, but they lock you in to a 12 month contract. They also refuse to listen to their customers and will not acknowledge the faults when all troubleshooting has already been completed. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
The WORST experience I have ever had. I have been connected almost a month now and still haven't received modem. After a dozen emails I am no closer. They seem unable to provide any tracking information or proof of delivery. Have been told it has been sent on 4 different dates but still no tracking. I was also told I would not be charged until I had modem but was charged anyway!

Worst customer service
I spent $360 almost 14 days ago to connect NBN to my newly built property and create an account with belong. I was told the modem would reach me within 5 days. 13 days later and still no modem. I have left countless emails and support requests which all just come back with the following "your request was resolved" and it sends me a link to see the outcome of my request but when i click the link it says "No current requests". Not to mention the fact I have tried to call and they have closed the whole contact centre!?! Like seriously? What kind o...Read more

Was planning on sorting out cancellation and a refund if i didn't hear back within the next 24 hours but by seeing the other reviews, I might just do it anyway. I will also be seeking legal advice if needed because belong is in direct breach of ACCC act Non-delivery of products & services/ Failure to supply a product or service within agreed time frame or reasonable time. Super slow. Often drops out.
Super slow connection. It often drops out doing simple browsing.
I understand C19 and there will be some delays in communication but there is no communication at all.
Very disappointed. I would not recommend.

Works well when it works, don't bother calling though
I have been with Belong for around 14 months now, and in that time, for the majority of the time, the connection has worked well, with good average speeds in line with what I am paying for.
However, there are often random slow downs (to the point you can't actually load anything, yet the connection is still active) and on the occasion when there has been a drop out, Belong never have any information as to what is going on.
On those occasions where things go wrong, it is not worth trying to call - you either can't get through, or no one knows ...Read more
what is going on. Belong won't offer any technical support if you are not using the terrible modem they supply (which is fine if the modem was the thing causing the issue), even if the issue is clearly an issue at their end. When you try and call, their on hold messages suggest logging in and raising a ticket - I have found that they usually take about 10 days to respond, and then a further few days after every message you send back. All in all, the pricing is good, and the service mostly works, but when it doesn't, you will really wish you belonged with another ISP2 comments

worst connection and terrible service
we supposed to work from home now, suddenly our internet stop after getting a terrible connection. now i cant get on contact with them to get the problem fixed. Absolutely do not recommend been having the service and connection ever since i joined.

Non-Existent Customer Service
I've been with Belong for only 2 months now and enjoyed the service and the price.
Until now, the internet is slow and can't even load a website anymore, I have tried all the troubleshooting tips including factory resets and attempting new DNS servers, but to no prevail.
I understand due to COVID-19 that they have lost staff, but I can get on the line to a customer service representative for my Telstra mobile within 10 minutes, but with Belong, I'm not even given a phone number to ring.

Multiple complaints lodge with zero resolutions. Internet speeds have not passed 0.5mbps for 10 months and now internet has not worked for days with belong unresponsive to emails and no way to call them.

The worst Telco EVER!!!
By far the worst telco I have ever had to deal with.
I have spent over a trying to deal with them. They have made continual mistakes such as sending technicians to the wrong address, sending me products I do not need and then requesting I send them back, not following up with questions and complaints. They assured me they would pay the excess data on my phone and now refuse to pay it and now won’t answer my emails. THE WORST!!!

Constantly dropping signal on belong adsl. Unable to cantact anyone. Keep on rebooting the modem to get signal. Worst experience. Need to fix this asap as working from home and no connectivity is affecting my work.

Belong NBN extremely unstable and can not access customer service
My NBN has been dropping out throughout the day for 14 days now .. Normally 20-40 times a day .. some instances during an hour I had a drop out every 2 mins within an hour call this made the conference call impossible. I lodged this with belong 14 days ago and also raised it with the complaints team. Someone tried to call me on Monday and said they couldn’t hear me and hang up but I have had no issues with my phone. Had requested for a call back and still have not heard from anyone for the last 7 days. Extremely poor customer service and internet stability poor still bouncing like a yo-yo.

Avoid this company do not sign up with them DO NOT sign with them
Abandoned by support, very slow internet speed never goes above 3-6 mb per second again no support at all.
Have been with them for over two years which is way too long cancelling soon as possible

It's not worth it
There is no customer service and it is hard or impossible to reach someone on the line. They don't deliver to their promise and are very unresponsive. NO stars ok.

Never ever buy Belong Internet.
Got a reponse straight away from them when I sign up 12 month contract but after that nothing at all. Do not recommend to anyone. This is the worse service I am getting. Chasing this guys for internet on daily basis and no reponse at all. We live in remote location and dont have internet for last 15 days after I signed up with Belong.

Worst provider ever
Our NBN used to be okay before COVID but in the past 2 months we’re constantly having drop outs, continuously disconnects for hours on end and lags. I have followed all the trouble shooting steps so many times they never work when it’s down. I have even left my modem switched off for hours in hope it’ll reboot. Nope nothing works.

best value for money
I selected Belong after extensive research of available NBN services. Well it may not have the cheapest monthly fee on its face value, it's the cheapest over medium to long term. $55/month for 30Mbps, over a 12 month contract. You can't find this deal anywhere else.
The speed is usually pretty good. have to say there's some occasion hiccups but I think that's more of an NBN rather than Belong issue.

Sometimes the technicians don't need to come into the house and can get everything done outside. Other times, they may have to cancel the appointment and let us know, so we can pass that on to you.

Hey Belong, your facebook page is hammered by people complaining nobody can get through and the support link is broken, phone is disconnected, nobody answering messages or emails. My daughter is paying for internet you cannot provide and there are a few thousand people commenting the same. Children need home schooling, if you can not provide how can you take these customers money??? Please contact me and all the other thousands of people on your facebook page!!!!
