False advertising
They send us a text about Boxing Day sales. We go to buy a dining table chair that we already bought 6 of. The price of the chair has gone up by a $100 each and NO sale! What a joke!

David was an outstanding customer service representative
We have bought several items from focus on furniture over the years, generally the service has been reasonable although David was to another level from the Springvale store. He understood our needs, spent time advising the best products and was very knowledgeable and professional. For any future needs we will surely be back to the springvale store and deal with David exclusively. He has great customer service skills, very polite and courteous. Thank you David for making our visit a memorable one with a positive experience.

Love the Focus range and service- so easy and great quality
Love the whole Focus range, they always have new items available. Pricing is so affordable for the great quality of the items. The Daylesford range I purchased is stunning in my new home. Would definitely recommend, the whole process from ordering to delivery was so easy. I paid for delivery and assembly, the drivers were great and so quick!

Received Damaged furniture terrible customer service
Hi everyone Beware buying anything from from focus on especially south wharf.we bought new leather lounge on 18th of dec & delivered on 19th with cuts & scratches on leather sofa.we contacted store they are not taking responsibility and Manager said its outside company and we have to contact them. Focus on organised this delivery and should be their responsibility. Its very harassing. Its worse deal than buying pre used stuff. We wasted $4000 money and now we are wasting time.

Lies and lies
Dont buy from focus on! They guarantee delivery for a future date just for the sale and cant deliver. Constantly beating around the bush and always promising they will know more the next day. How about be honest and more transparent! Now Ill be moving into a new house without furniture and hosting Christmas. Pathetic! Worst of it all they dont even give me any other options but wait until January/February.

Absolutely would not recommend for big purchases!!
Made a massive purchase at ACT store. In the end i ended up a fair trading claim and needing a lawyer. Due to Focus breaking consumer law, and not replacing an item with 10 YEARS warranty.

Great service & great range
Well overdue review. Bought 2x mattresses, a bed frame and a fabric lounge suite over a year ago. Visited 2 stores, Richmond and Nunawading. Great assistance from Jack and Nick, thanks guys if you are still around. We took our time selecting and ordering. Lounge suite made in Melbourne, thorough service from start to end to ensure requested configuration was locked in correctly. Great price for an Aussie made product, very happy even after a year in (couch still looks great - used daily by whole family inc 2x boisterous kids). We opted for fir...Read more

Poor and crappy quality product
completely dissatisfied with product, ie a bed. in less than a month it dipped in the middle causing significant back pain. in as much as they accepted to exchange the product after waiting for months, such products should never be allowed in the shop from a health risk point of view

When complaint Focus on furniture refused by saying that I should have got 5 year warranty for extra. Couch Now seem to be not even leather to us. It seems like they lying to sell fake products. Happy with everything
We visited 3 Focus on Furniture shops to find what we wanted, and Fountain Gate (Narre Waren) shop was the only shop we found what we wanted with a good offer. The store was properly organized to get a real feel of the furniture.
The sales staff were very professional, as we were fussy customers, where we changed what we ordered few times. Absolutely nice and professional people. Helped us with recommending to select certain items and we were very happy with them.
It's been more than a month after receiving the furniture and we are very happy with the delivery and also it was easy to assemble.

Not worth it. Crap products and terrible service
Not worth it, rubbish products and terrible service. Have had my couches 1 year and have had multiple structural issues. Can't even be bothered calling to try and resolve them

Terrible after sales service
I recently had an issue with one of the chairs in my 9 piece dining suite breaking and had to contact the Canberra store for assistance. The after sales service offered by the staff at the Canberra store was very disappointing.
The staff were completely unhelpful in trying to resolve my issue. They didn't even ask to look at the broken chair to try and determine what went wrong and whether it was something that could be fixed. All they did was tell me that their chairs have only a 12 month warranty and that they don't stock the chair anymore. ...Read more
I get this, though they really should work with their customers better when there are issues rather than pointing to their warranty like it is some form of defence and essentially telling them to get stuffed. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect is that the way the staff handled my issue has completely changed my view of focus on furniture. Over the past 2 years, I have spent over $8,500 and have generally been quite happy with the furniture in terms of the quality and value for money they provide. However, I won't be shopping here ever again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Poor Quality Furniture and After Sales
Furniture is poorly made. Only 12 month warranty on dining chairs. 3 Benson chairs have split through the legs 18 months after purchase. Customer service accused me of treating them poorly. We hardly used them, just for 15 mins at dinner each evening. They insulted me with a small discount to purchase more of their furniture! Be careful as company has recently closed most of their stores, including Marsden Park where I bought my chairs. Don't touch this furniture.

Couch quality
Quite happy with the couch we bought 12 months ago. It has survived 2 toddlers, a wine spill and a naughty puppy and is still in pretty good condition considering.
Good value.

Delivery
Just want to mention how cheap their delivery and assembling fee is. It costs us $99 for delivery and assembling of a sofa (8 months ago). Very cheap compare to other places.

Damaged lounge delivered
We ordered a new lounge from the Marsden Park store
After a week or so, while cleaning the lounge we found the stitching on one of the seats is not done properly hence it has a small opening from which from/cushion is flowing out. On further inspection, I also found leather is peeling off from multiple places.
I tried to contact the company for warranty support but could not get hold of them for more than 2/to 3 weeks. Website link doesn't let me losd the images or submit the issue.
A technician from the company visited and requested for a f...Read more

I am having the same issue I am getting really frustrated with this company and how they treat you as a customer
Kaye McGrathasked
What is the warranty on your products. We purchased a lounge suite in 2016, Afd-Royal. We just love it and it is so comfortable. Only recently we discovered the leather is splitting and the leather has worn thread bare in some places. Would someone advise me please what we can do. Thanks Kaye McGrath.

You will likely be in for a lot of nonsense.
The leather has cracked because it is poor quality, not durable, cheaply made.
We had the same problem with plush. They are under the same umbrella company I believe.
Focus on will send out a technician to your house who will blame the damage on your lack of maintenance, 'body oils' 'medications' suncream etc, anything to refuse your claim.
You will have to use you statutory warranty through Australian consumer law and the ACCC/ fair trading to get anywhere. Don't accept a repair as it will fail again. Do some research on the above and prepare yourself for a well articulated fight. Don't let the company fob you off. The case is closed when you are happy, not them.
Check out other such comments on here, the plush site, nick scali product review etc.
It will take you a while
Hi,
The paperwork states the following regarding your warranty question.
Timber: 1 year structural
Lounge: 5 years structural on frames, 3 years on seating and mechanisms (120kg weight load) and 1 year on stitching and covering.
There is no time limit on your legally protected consumer guarantees. Don't believe anything else.
