Terrible quality
We were assured that we are purchasing good quality furniture for my elderly Father, so a great sales lady. On delivery we noticed finishes on the furniture was different colours which we had changed over after a lot of calls. A few years down the track and we now have stainless steel chairs with broken backs, the welding from the seat holding the back is only a tack welded which is hidden by the material, a very dangerous form of manufacturing, They cannot help us with this as there is only a 1 year warranty not 5 years as we were told. VERY POORLY MADE FURNITURE.

Unfriendly staff. Careless ordering. I had to wait more than a month when they agreed to deliver it in two weeks. Now they are disagreeing with what they have said during ordering.

Excellent Service by David
Went into the Focus on Furniture store at Springvale and was served by David. David was extremely helpful and his knowledge of products was phenomenal. He was very helpful in helping me choose my new lounge and went above and beyond to look after me with the price also. Great service and can't thank you enough. Anyone looking to buy new furniture for your home must go down and see David at Focus on Furniture Springvale!

Damage furniture
I recently purchased a 9 piece dinning table and unfortunately when delivered two chairs were missing and the table was incorrectly manufactured, therefore we couldn’t put it together. After an email and phone call to the store we purchased from we were told we would receive a new table with the delivery of the two missing chairs - I was thrilled with the prompt follow up and response from the staff in the store. However on delivery day, instead of a new table I was given materials to build the table and complete things that should have been done during the manufacturing stage. Terrible product for $2,400... will not shop their again and encourage everyone to stay away, Dave your money, time and stress.

Great shopping experience with David
We very glad with our recent furniture purchase at Springvale Focus on Furniture thanks to David great help & guidance. We feel that David is very kind & helpful sale consultant who have shown us the right furniture options we really wanted with right price. His nice attitude in serving customers and willingness to help is the main reason we have decided to buy the furniture from this store and not from other competing stores nearby. His sale skill is also great too as he listened & understood exactly what customers need & can be flexible to he...Read more

All Promises - Late Delivery
Ordered a sofa from FocusOn furniture in Mile End having been explicitly clear at the time of purchase that the sofa was required before a certain date (over a month in advance). I was told that it would be no issue and would arrive well ahead of time. This promise was even specified on the tax invoice I was provided with.
Having rang them two weeks before the due date, I was told the sofa was still in Melbourne. I rang back 4 days before the due date and the sofa was still in a container in Melbourne and hadn't moved! Needless to say we won't be getting our sofa on time.
Such a disappointing experience and so incredibly frustrating. What makes it worse is the unapologetic attitude of their staff each time I called up.

Dont believe the slogans these guys are spinning about the Quality of their lounges & their 100% service guarantee.
Had a lounge which we were told was Warwick Fabric that started pilling, raised a complaint and whilst I cannot fault the guy that come over to check it out and the guy with no power at the end of the phone the company summarised said "bad luck / deal with it. They blamed the poor old salesperson and made some excuses that the store shut down. Have recommended this product in the past but will not in the future. Might have to listen to others who go to places like Harvey Norman in the future whilst you will probably pay more but the aftersales service compared to this mob is chalk and cheese

Poor quality product with poor service
We purchased a couch from Focus On and we realised how bad the quality was and how poorly made the couch was after it was delivered to our house. After using it for a few weeks, we also realised how uncomfortable the couch was and with some of the seats sinking in more than the others which comes down to the poor quality. When we asked if we could exchange it for something of better quality and comfort, we got told no since it is technically not a 'faulty' product and got told if we decide to sell it on our own and buy another couch from them, they would make sure we were ‘looked after’. Do you think I would make another purchase from a store that did not look after us the first time? The answer is no.

The Manager at Focus on Furniture Bankstown didn't want my money!
I walked into the Focus on Furniture store at Bankstown on 15 Jan 2020 in the morning with $2000 ready to do business and purchase a new mattress on the spot, found the mattress I wanted for $1899 and asked the sales rep if she could waive the delivery fee of $110 because the furniture store across the road, Amart Bankstown offered a similar product (different brand) but same quality and specifications for $1699 with free delivery. I made it clear with the sales rep that I was happy to pay $1899 if she was able to waive the delivery fee, she ad...Read more
vised she had to check with the manager first, she came back to offer me a paltry $10 discount, which I found very insulting and clearly the Manager didn't want my money, I was prepared to spend $1899 on the spot and to top it off, I had to wait up to 6 weeks for delivery...hmm, its a clearance store, you should have the stock available??, guess not, also from my understanding, retailers are struggling at the moment in Sydney, why wouldn't you waive the delivery fee?? Does not make sense, anyway, I walked out and walked into the Amart store across the road and walked out with my order receipt, paid $1699 for a new bed with free delivery, I saved $300, thanks to the Manager at Focus on Furniture Bankstown. False advertising
They send us a text about Boxing Day sales. We go to buy a dining table chair that we already bought 6 of. The price of the chair has gone up by a $100 each and NO sale! What a joke!

David was an outstanding customer service representative
We have bought several items from focus on furniture over the years, generally the service has been reasonable although David was to another level from the Springvale store. He understood our needs, spent time advising the best products and was very knowledgeable and professional. For any future needs we will surely be back to the springvale store and deal with David exclusively. He has great customer service skills, very polite and courteous. Thank you David for making our visit a memorable one with a positive experience.

Love the Focus range and service- so easy and great quality
Love the whole Focus range, they always have new items available. Pricing is so affordable for the great quality of the items. The Daylesford range I purchased is stunning in my new home. Would definitely recommend, the whole process from ordering to delivery was so easy. I paid for delivery and assembly, the drivers were great and so quick!

Hi everyone Beware buying anything from from focus on especially south wharf.we bought new leather lounge on 18th of dec & delivered on 19th with cuts & scratches on leather sofa.we contacted store they are not taking responsibility and Manager said its outside company and we have to contact them. Focus on organised this delivery and should be their responsibility. Its very harassing. Its worse deal than buying pre used stuff. We wasted $4000 money and now we are wasting time.

I am having the same issue I am getting really frustrated with this company and how they treat you as a customer
Kaye McGrathasked
What is the warranty on your products. We purchased a lounge suite in 2016, Afd-Royal. We just love it and it is so comfortable. Only recently we discovered the leather is splitting and the leather has worn thread bare in some places. Would someone advise me please what we can do. Thanks Kaye McGrath.

You will likely be in for a lot of nonsense.
The leather has cracked because it is poor quality, not durable, cheaply made.
We had the same problem with plush. They are under the same umbrella company I believe.
Focus on will send out a technician to your house who will blame the damage on your lack of maintenance, 'body oils' 'medications' suncream etc, anything to refuse your claim.
You will have to use you statutory warranty through Australian consumer law and the ACCC/ fair trading to get anywhere. Don't accept a repair as it will fail again. Do some research on the above and prepare yourself for a well articulated fight. Don't let the company fob you off. The case is closed when you are happy, not them.
Check out other such comments on here, the plush site, nick scali product review etc.
It will take you a while
Hi,
The paperwork states the following regarding your warranty question.
Timber: 1 year structural
Lounge: 5 years structural on frames, 3 years on seating and mechanisms (120kg weight load) and 1 year on stitching and covering.
There is no time limit on your legally protected consumer guarantees. Don't believe anything else.
